The JBL C40 Harkness was originally released in 1957 as a two-way speaker for the home hi-fi market. A collaborative design between JBL engineers and industrial designer Alvin Lustig, the Harkness was intended to raise speaker design from functional boxes to pieces of mid-century art.
This mirrored pair features furniture grade trim and has been upgraded to a three-way speaker with the finest vintage JBL components. Perfect for a listening bar, gallery, restaurant, or even the home where high fidelity audio is appreciated. Currently designed to be tri-amplified, custom crossover options can be built on request.

Spiral Jetty is bringing their hardware only approach to the warehouse to help stir up a craze alongside two of our favorite selectors in the area, @chellejoestar and @graham_hatke .

Never quite expected to find myself at Burning Man, let alone bringing a sound system but we did the damn thing!
Honored to have brought this vision to life with @rebolledo_____ & @longest_legs_in_universe_ for @phantasmagoria_camp . Through the dust hurricane and thunderstorms we had proper vintage sound breathing every day, Sunday - Sunday with a couple sunrises along the way.
Where everybody brings the biggest and baddest from the usual names in sound, I was proud to share something unique while still staying true to my ears and ideas. This system is emotive and I’m already itching to hear it again.
It was a joy working out the speaks with the artists curated by Rebo, @danielweil , and @secretario___ . The family affair Monday, impromptu Tuesday night into sunrise after the thunderstorm, and @thugfucker ‘s dubbed out trip were all special memories.
Thank you to everyone that lent a hand during the build process in Baltimore, couldn’t have made this happen without you guys. And of course, thank you to everyone that came by and cut some rugs in the dust!
Saturday April 19th, we are honored to bring the mid-west techno torch bearer @stevencentrific to Charm City alongside @narcohitmenonjetskis , @craig_phreaq , and @_solidare for a night of hypnotic rhythms.
Centrific has been pushing techno for 30 years and it still feels like he’s just getting warmed up. With over 25 years of Intellephunk events, 20+ years of hosting Communion Sundays, Meta Ta Physika in Detroit, and spearheading The Great Beyond summer campout with his partner Jasmine and Enemy Records boss Dustin Zahn. He has truly risen to become a pillar in the US techno scene. Having played some of the best parties coast to coast and beyond, join us in welcoming Centrific to Baltimore for a heavy sound session between the Pobal Sound stacks.
With 30 years on the decks and some of the sickest tunes in existence, Kelly is thrilled to share his love of heady steppers with the dance.
A’phreaq has been performing live electronic music for 20yrs, from industrial, minimal dub techno to dark psychedelic journeys.
Becoming a competent drummer almost before she could walk, Solidare has been attuned to the groove from the very beginning. Solidare is most at home in the intensity of a singular moment and what is required of her to meet it – a paradoxical place of comfort she finds, often, in the DJ booth… riding the edge of the dancefloor energy, the sound system, the time of night, and her next selection. Come celebrate Solidare’s home town debut with a journey through the sonic realm.

Master of all sounds dubby, @yertdub is ready to pump some bass. Between running the Harbor Sound System and frequently gracing decks along the East Coast, Yert is no stranger to wielding serious speaks. As masterful a producer as DJ, he recently tested his first dubplate on the legendary Sinai Sound System while across the pond. Leading us deep into the sunrise with a combination of deep cuts and unreleased gems, Yert’s guaranteed to make moments.
We’ve heard what he can do on the system and can’t wait to share it with you!
Originally growing her roots in Southern California & New Orleans, Beth Cohen aka @ladylavendersound is the DMV’s Electro Queen. Known for her upbeat approach and deep selections, Lady Lavender’s sound is selective and always with a dance floor in mind. Whether it’s vinyl or digital, she has some of the deepest crates around and is guaranteed to keep us on our toes.
Don’t miss this special extended journey with Lady Lavender, opening the portal and leading us deep down her electro rabbit hole.
Hailing from the humble city of Delft, Netherlands, @spekkiwebu.mirrorzone is a multidisciplinary artist exploring the unknown. Formed by his involvement within the gabber and tekno movement, Spekki Webu cultivates a sound that is persistent and ritualistic. As a composer and sound designer, he traverses multidisciplinary dimensions with his Signal Transmutations AV project, spatial installations, and his labels Mirror Zone and Optic Portal.
Showcasing the US debut of his collaborative live project with Feral in Charm City is a true honor. Get ready for a heavy sound session Friday!

An affinity for shamanic calls of the tribal drum have led the Rome native across the world to discover and nurture his defining sound. His label Hypnus Records, highlights his fascination for audio engineering, hardware experimentation and percussive instruments. With a heightened sense of spatial awareness, the sounds of Feral unearth the path of his multidimensional world, transporting the listener to a haunting, yet grounding refuge within.
We’ve beefed up the system and monitoring for Friday to make Feral’s warehouse debut a treat for both sides of the booth!

Friday March 28th, Pobal Presents Spekki Webu + Feral (LIVE), Lady Lavender, and Yert for a night of sonic psychedelia.
Kicking off their US tour with a Charm City debut, @spekkiwebu.mirrorzone and @feral.heruka are two sonic architects turning the warehouse into their studio for a special live performance. The DMV’s electro queen @ladylavendersound is kicking off the night with an extended journey through the twists and turns of her record bag. Closing things out with all sounds dubby and wonky is one of our hometown favorites, @yertdub . Come FEEL the sound!
