Too many people label our youth as “YNs” without ever investing into them. We see something different. We see young kings. 👑
This summer, our students will receive 12 weeks of sponsored training, mentorship, leadership development, and hands-on barber education. But more importantly, they’ll learn how to serve others.
Our young kings will be out in the community providing free haircuts to those experiencing homelessness, supporting the autistic community, and showing love to anyone in need of confidence, care, and a fresh cut.
This is bigger than barbering. This is purpose, leadership, healing, and community. Humbly here to serve. ✊🏾
10 years ago today, the state of Pennsylvania approved the P. Michael Boone Foundation. 🙏🏾
I still remember attending a conference and hearing Dr. Wesley Proctor speak about the power of nonprofits and serving the community. That moment planted a seed in me. Through prayer, guidance, and purpose, I stepped out on faith to build something bigger than myself — something that could impact youth, families, and future generations.
What started as a vision became programs, mentorship, free community events, entrepreneurship training, the Junior Barber Academy, and opportunities for thousands of young people across our city. 💈❤️
This foundation was built to leave a legacy for my children while serving others with love, discipline, and purpose.
Now, 10 years later, we celebrate ALL of it with a FREE block party & festival on Main Street. 🎉
Thank you to every parent, student, staff member, donor, barber, teacher, partner, volunteer, and supporter who believed in this mission. Y’all helped make this possible.
