Fourteen musicians from MYS Hillsboro Camerata will join @northwestdancetheatre for their production of Snow White! 🍎 Performing Vivaldi’s Concerto Grosso in G minor and Concerto for Two Oboes, they will provide live accompaniment as NWDT’s dancers bring each note to life through dance. 🩰🎻

Did you know we all have a “map” in our brain which tells us how the body is organized? That map is not always perfect though, and when we move according to the map vs. our actual anatomy, it can cause injury. 🧠😲
Huge thanks to @zoeschlusselmusic , MYS Beginning Strings Instructor and Licensed Body Mapping Educator, for stopping by rehearsal and walking us through ways to recognize & correct inefficient or harmful movement in our music making. 🙏
This community concert series had it all: a special visit from Professor Wigstein, the premiere screening of the ‘Retep Finds a Way’ animation, and over 300 students of many ages and skill levels demonstrating their growth this season. 🥹👏
Thank you to Dana Sparling for sharing her winning Concerto Competition piece, to James Lee for trusting us with the premiere of his composition, to Symphony Orchestra for tackling this repertoire on top of Tchaikovsky’s Sixth, and to Sinfonietta Orchestra for getting to concert off to a sweeping start. 👏🌟
