Let us introduce you to Dawit L. Petros (b. 1972, Asmara, Eritrea). @dawitlpetros will be featured in Prospect 4 (@prospect_nola ), the latest citywide exhibition of contemporary art opening November 16-19, 2017 in New Orleans (curated by Trevor Schoonmaker @toschoon ). Petros has exhibited internationally at venues including the 56th Venice Biennale (@labiennale ), @studiomuseum , @huismarseille , Biscuiterie (Dakar), @durban_art_gallery_ (South Africa) and the @mfaboston . His works are represented in the collections of @romtoronto , @studiomuseum , @cpwwpc and @huismarseille . Petros lives and works in New York. Petros has created a piece of work with an edition of 7, which will be available at our event at @myfilmnorth this Friday from 6-8pm.
In our first edition of "Meet the Artists," we would like to introduce you to Paul Mpagi Sepuya (b. 1982, San Bernardino). He is a fast-rising artist and will be featured in Being: New Photography 18, the latest edition of the @themuseumofmodernart 's longstanding and celebrated series examining new directions in photography. Sepuya’s works are currently on view in Trigger: Gender as a Tool and a Weapon at @newmuseum with recent exhibitions at @studiomuseum , @laxart , the Katonah Museum of Art and @documentspace . His works are represented in the collections of @whitneymuseum , @studiomuseum , @mocalosangeles , @guggenheim , and @mfahouston . Sepuya lives and works in Los Angeles. Paul has created a piece of work with an edition of 20, which will be available at @myfilmnorth this Fridayfrom 6-8pm.
