A few (2019) years ago, I worked with Pabst Blue Ribbon on a recycling idea. They asked me to come up with a way to excite others to reuse their cans for multiple purposes. I came up with the idea of beer can-dles. I turned their cans into candles by partnering with an apothecary company who provided beeswax and wicks. Take the top of the can off with a can opener. Easy.
This campaign was so successful, they decided to purchase my idea and made it nationally available. If you see beer candles, youāre welcome. They last forever. Avoid soy wax. Beeswax burns clean and purifies the air. āŗļø
News of AI taking over tech jobs within 18-months isnāt really a concern when I just got done shooting flies with a salt gun, listening to @hayefield , foraging for bamboo in the forest for @goldcitycollective while @goodolebillyray wears a @tractorsupply hat and a three year old @carhartt shirt⦠digs up the treasures. I have an ice cold @brumate and an @umarex while holding a @monstermusic speaker. What was I talking about before that?
Dinner was on point.

Itās a beautiful day on the farm. We have a broody little bantam hen sitting on 15! eggs and sheās determined. Only a few weeks left. š„ We will be able to offer up some baby chicks and more. Iāve been propogating pothos, mint, basil, rosemary, English ivy, and more. Not only that, Iāll let my husband come back in and show you what else weāve been working on for the fellas.
I finally got a second wedding ring to wear while farming. Itās more dirt, mud, chicken and duck handling, dirt digging friendly. Itās super comfortable and made of durable silicone. Seriously excited to not have to clean my wedding ring set after playing in dirt all day. ⨠@rinfitrings for the win.
Us hearing sounds so we go outside with protection and the trail cam caught us in action. The other day, we did lose two animals to something. We are on high alert. We love our farm babies. @muddyoutdoorsofficial , saving our dang babes at @goldcitycollective from now til forever.
I didnāt realize how loud life felt to me until I finally slowed down and paid attention. Not just concerts or big crowds⦠just everyday stuff. Dishes clanking, people talking over each other, the TV on in the background while someoneās on their phone. It all stacks up. And for me, it gets to a point where my brain just feels⦠full. I get overwhelmed, irritated, exhausted, and I canāt always explain why.
For a long time, I told myself I was just ātoo sensitive.ā Like I should be able to handle it better. But honestly? My nervous system was just overloaded. I found Loop Engage 2 by @loopearplugs .
The first time I tried them, nothing dramatic happened. The world didnāt go silent. It just felt⦠easier. Softer. Like the noise finally stopped shouting at me. I could still hear people, still be present, but it didnāt feel like everything was competing for my attention anymore.
And that small shift made a big difference. It gave me a little breathing room in places that used to drain me. It helped me stay longer, feel calmer, not hit that wall so fast.
Iām still figuring out what I need and where my limits are. But this helped me realize something important⦠itās not that Iām ātoo much.ā Sometimes itās just too loud.
