We got tender and deep with THE WORK (2017) last night. Feeling grateful to have been in a room with so much presence and heart ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🩹 We’ll be sending all proceeds from the night to @allkings.ny , supporting the incredible therapeutic work seen in the film. Thank you to @movingpotential for sharing a preview of their beautiful piece Witness, and their thoughts about the role of embodied expression within the carceral context.

Intense, cathartic, and raw, THE WORK screens this Friday at PL1. This film should be required viewing in America–it has much to teach us about masculinity, community, healing, and the power of confronting our own pain. We’ll be joined by a pre-screening short and post-screening discussion with @movingpotential , plus all entrance donations will go towards @allkings.ny , the organization featured in the film.
