Scorched Mountain 2026 was a step up from
@deadendranchevents 2025 rendition. More vendors, more artists, more PEOPLE and more connection. This music festival is just going to keep getting bigger, and I hope to see Sacred Steps every time.

This portion of the event was one that I looked forward to before I even got to the ranch. I wasn’t disappointed when the fire walk began with a prayer to the earth, the skies, and the lands to the east and west.

Watching everyone scurry along the scorched ground, resting at around 800 degrees, showed me just how strong we are. How capable of overcoming fears we can be - when someone else is around.

Having that person in your corner makes a difference. How likely are you to do something you’re afraid of doing alone as opposed to having 15 other people doing it with you or supporting you in that decision?

Sacred Steps and I believe in these core truths:

You are stronger than your fears.
You will not always make it alone.
Respects to the earth should be given before we admit to our strengths, for it is from the earth in which we achieve them.
