Downtown Sacramento Portrait Shoot | One Light Setup
Recently, Tim met up with his friend @samaltawil_1 in downtown Sacramento to create some portraits.
Sam had just acquired a new tuxedo, and the early morning light downtown was performing its usual magic—bouncing off buildings and creating a variety of compelling patterns to work with.
They kept the lighting setup simple and moved efficiently through several locations. By using a single strobe, they allowed the local architecture and natural light to do the heavy lifting.
For Tim, shoots like this serve as a vital reminder to venture out and experiment. He finds that testing different gear and creative ideas without the pressure of a commercial assignment invariably pays off in his future work.
