Single number two has now landed. This is “Visit Bristol” with @phaeleh_ 🌿
As the name suggests, this is an ode to the beautiful city we live in. The track started out as a peaceful, melancholic piano loop written on a rainy day, and as the weather became sunnier and more hopeful, the tune did too. The moments of spark and colour sitting on top of the somber chords felt to be a perfect reflection of Bristol, a city whose grey architecture clashes perfectly with the splashes of colour in the street art, the green of the parks and the vivid character of the residents here. After meeting Matt Phaeleh, who is one of our favourite producers and a staple of Bristol’s electronic musical history, we decided to pass the track to him. The flourishes of keys he added were exactly what the tune needed, and before long we had a finished piece on our hands.
