59 Artists from across the UK and Europe.
A curated conversation about contemporary painting.
An enormous thank you to all the artists who have contributed a piece to this exhibition. We are very aware of the trust you have placed in us - it’s humbling.
Unwrapping and receiving the work was so thrilling.
We even got absorbed into the different aromas of each piece!
Curating and hanging the work was so enjoyable. We felt, at times, like remixers.
Creating a mixtape?
Developing, establishing and continuing this conversation.
Massive thumbs up to
@petergriffiths30 and
@paul.k.evans.7 for very valuable and needed
assistance with the hang.
And personally, a very big hug of appreciation and thanks to Kate and Sean for joining me on this curatorial roller coaster. You have been utterly essential creative partners.
And finally, a special mention to
@jkailjkail for a quite monumental effort to get his work to us personally all the way from Guernsey. Lovely to talk to you James.

Painting is not; ‘doing the right thing’.
Painting is not; designed to impress.
Painting is not; his or hers. **
Painting is; a breath on a mirror, a footprint, grease on a towel, blood on a stone, damp wallpaper, torn advertising, meaningless graffiti, melting snow, dead leaves, weathered paint, broken windows, neglected gardens, a cry, a smile, a scream, defacement on defacement.***
