They met at Stanford, and their story began in the classroom. After Peter’s bronze-medal moment at the 2024 Paris Olympics, he proposed at the romantic Mont-Saint-Michel. 💍
Their celebration continued in San Francisco, from an intimate rehearsal dinner at St. Francis Yacht Club ⛵️to a timeless wedding at the iconic Olympic Club.⛳️

Peter and I met at the back of the bus when we were 14 talking about string theory and at some point Ender’s Game. Almost a decade later and an ocean apart, we are still talking about string theory and Enders game.

I’m often asked why I chose to row at Stanford.
I rowed at Stanford from 2018-2023 where I did math for my undergraduate and a masters year in computer science. I knew in high school that I wanted to do something in AI, and Stanford was hands down the best place for that. No where else had the talent concentration in exactly what I was interested in.
I took 4 official visits: Cal, Stanford, Harvard, and Princeton. Stanford had the most vibrant culture. I’ll never forget sitting at the Stern dining giant table with the entire team crammed shoulder to shoulder. I already felt included on the inside jokes.
Stanford had produced several Olympians, so while they were in the B final at IRAs in 2018, I knew they could produce top athletes. Racing the team this weekend reminded me of the incredible infrastructure and support they have to be able to bring your 100% to athletics and academics.
They are a hard working and hungry team with a lot of depth. Excited to see what they do at IRA’s this year.
