Our next entry is by far the most exciting because it’s from the one & only PJ Renaud! One of the most talented bartenders on the scene, they really know their thing when it comes to flavour combinations & this dish is no exception. PJ’s knowledge surpasses most when it comes to the intricacies of flavour pairing right down to core profiles of flavours & how to get the most out of them. Some of the ingredients for this dessert were from PJ’s back garden. Everything down to the Rosé was tweaked & created by PJ themselves. The Sparkling Raspberry Rosé was made from Rosé, Sweet Vermouth, Raspberries & Vodka. The Lemon & Kawakawa sorbet was made from Lemon, Sugar, Vodka, Kaffir Lime leaves & holey Kawakawa leaves. The holey-er the Kawakawa leaves, the more beneficial their positive qualities & flavours can be, due to the Kawakawa Looper Moth chomping through them. 📝 PJ Renaud - @peejs_potions

About last night! Oh my gosh, the energy in that room was palpable. Being able to meet new people and talk about something taboo felt so golden and refreshing! @thebabecharlie was so brave to open up the space and her experience. We were looked after by Charlie’s brother (literally awarded Aucklands best bar tender this year!) @peejs_potions who made us mocktails and gave us recipes to take home, as well as @sobercurious_af who put together a great goodie bag including their canned mocktails, we got given mindfulness journals from @moonturtle.co and yummy sparkling waters from @drinkalmighty - lucky us!! This is apart of Crushes Social Club that has been so incredible this autumn! We have one more event next week; Poetry Workshop with @dawnpoems for femme and queer communities, as well as our book + knitting clubs! The winter programme is coming soon - sooo excited to show you what we’re working on

Especially with Fortaleza since it was actually the first sipping tequila I ever had over 4 years ago! ======================================= Quick story : I first had Fortaleza Tequila back in 2018 during a shoot at the legendary Mea Culpa! @nivernjeremy asked me if I like tequila and I said, "I don't like doing shots" (I know right...) then he said "Nah, try just sippin this" and handed me a glass of Fortaleza Reposado!! From that day I never saw Tequila the same way again! 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿 What a trip to the other side of the world that was! A couple of months ago now (not that it seems it), I was lucky enough to go on a trip of a lifetime to @cardronadistillery to be a part of their first cocktail comp, being a part of Team UK. In a brief statement, I'd definitely call it 'not shit'. I've got a fuck ton of pictures that I could put up, mainly of me doing finger guns in the corner but they can be for another day. We explored, experienced, ate too much, without a doubt drank too much and really had an unforgettable experience. At least I did. Sorry for everyone that had to put up with me for that long, it's a task I know, especially those amazing people from home that had to deal with 30 hours of travelling with me. It was something I'll never forget. You're all fucking amazing people. Thank you for sharing the whole experience with me. As joint owners of a barrel of whisky, you're stuck having to occasionally talk to me for at least 10 years, so that's your L. Soz if I missed tags, ran out of space. It's not that I don't like you I promise!!
