PD CLASSIC vs PD ONEr, explained ✌️
ONEr entries are currently live - if you fancy joining is on the 28th September for a 76km social, hosted trail run from Sheffield to Manchester, we’d love to have you along. Entries close 31.08.24 🐑
The next CLASSIC is in April 2025 🏝️
The @peak.divide is a 76km event from Manchester to Sheffield through the Peak District. People run (or shuffle) across canals, bridleways and moorland over two days, with an overnight camp in the hills.
This year, for the first time ever, riders joined the event. Five Brompton G Lines moving from the city into the hills. Canal paths turned into bridleways. Steep climbs gave way to rough ground where riding stopped and the bikes were carried or pushed before being ridden again.
Jackets came on and off as the weather changed as quickly as the terrain.
The ride was full of encounters. Lunch at the famous Gnocchi Gap. A sunshine stop at the ice cream van. Paragliders overhead, trail runners and dog walkers all sharing the same hills in different ways. By the time Sheffield came back into view, it was the end of something small but full. 24 hours that somehow felt much further away.
Emily Chappell rode the route and has written about the full journey on the Brompton blog. Read it via the link in bio.

The @peak.divide Classic 2026, MCR -> SHF, 76km over 2 days through the Peak District National Park.
Keeping the Shufflers #OTEFuelled was a blast!
Can’t wait to be back at the ONEr later in the year…
@peak.divide ‘26.
Pinnies on & ready for a light toasting over 76km.
Last year it was tea. This year it was tea AND TOAST 🤯 to keep our Shufflers shufflin’. Helping spread out a joyous two days journeying from Manchester to Sheffield.
Armed with:
> A van full of bread.
> Three industrial toasters.
> Every spread under the sun (Nutella took gold).
> A bespoke collection of @alldaygoods + @sums_club + @peak.divide butter knifes.
> Custom Peak Divide socks, naturally.
What a weekend. What a group of people. What a questionable amount of our marketing budget spent on toast.
We’ve absolutely loved being a part of the @peak.divide this weekend for the CLASSIC and it’s been great to chat to all the Shufflers. We’ll see you at the ONEr in October!
We ran. We walked. We shuffled. To the Peak and beyond. 💜
A 77 km journey through the heart of the Peak District, from Manchester to Sheffield.
Thank you to every shuffler who made this journey unforgettable.
See you at the ONEr.
