Habits > Resolutions. Always. Athletes don’t make New Year’s resolutions. They build systems. Resolutions are emotional. Habits are mechanical. Resolutions fade by February. Habits stack every day you show up. If you want 2026 to be different, stop chasing motivation and start owning your routine: • Schedule training before life fills the space • Fuel like performance matters • Protect sleep like it’s part of the program • Execute the workout you have, not the one you wish you had No hype. No drama. Just better habits. 2026 isn’t built on January 1st. It’s built on January 2nd… and every ordinary day after. #HabitsOverResolutions #DoWork #EnduranceTraining #ConsistencyWins

Short races. Big gains. Fall is the perfect time to step off the long-course grind and test yourself in new ways: 🏃 A local 5K or 10K = speed, turnover, and a reminder of how to really suffer. 🚴 Cyclocross = handling skills, power bursts, and recoveries that carry into tri and MTB. ⏱ Reset what feels “hard.” After a summer of long grinds, short-course intensity teaches you to go full gas for just 20–60 minutes. These races are low-stakes, high fun—but the training transfer is real. The intensity sharpens your system and keeps you motivated through the fall. Long-course athletes benefit from short-course efforts. Don’t underestimate the power of mixing it up this season. #MondayMinute #DoWork #Triathlon #Cyclocross #Running #EnduranceTraining

Labor Day: Use It Up 💥 All year you’ve been stacking training, building consistency, and grinding through the tough days. Now it’s time to spend what you’ve built. ✅ Big Adventures — epic gravel rides, mountain loops, or all-day trail runs. ✅ Low-Key Races — local 5Ks, small triathlons, or a cyclocross race. ✅ Different Challenges — adventure rides, point-to-point runs, training that feels like play. 👉 And for those still prepping for Kona, 70.3 Worlds, or a full cyclocross season—stay the course. Your time to “use it up” is still coming. Fitness is perishable—you can’t store it forever. But you can spend it on experiences, memories, and a strong close to your season. You’ve built the fitness. Now go use it. #MondayMinute #dowork #endurancetraining #triathlon #cycling #mtb #trailrunning #LaborDay

The Shoulder Season Shuffle 🍂 Big summer races are wrapping up… Leadville, Ironman, MTB stage races, marathons—it’s been a season! But now comes the shoulder season: that space between the “A” race and the true off-season. This is where you set the tone for what comes next. ✅ Take a step back on purpose — active recovery, lower stress. ✅ Mix in adventure training — trail runs, point-to-point rides, hikes with family. ✅ Reflect — what worked this season, what didn’t? ✅ Keep it fun — jump into a local 10K, gravel ride, or cross race. Shoulder season isn’t about losing momentum—it’s about shifting it. Step back, reset, and line yourself up for what’s next. TRAIN WELL. RECOVER HARD. KEEP IT FUN. #MondayMinute #dowork #shoulderseason #endurancetraining #triathlon #cycling #mtb #trailrunning

✨ Sharpen the Sword ✨ The last few weekends I’ve been out supporting athletes at races — and the ones who shine are those who trust their training and arrive sharp, not overcooked. 💡 At this point in the season, the work is done. It’s not about chasing more fitness — it’s about sharpening what you’ve built. Here’s how to nail the championship stretch: 🔑 Trust the process — fitness is already in the bank. ⚖️ Err on the safe side — extra rest > junk miles. ⚡ Sharpen, don’t stuff — short race-pace work + clean gear prep. 🛡️ Stay healthy — a small niggle now costs big later. 💪 Confidence is cumulative — let your months of work show. Race weeks are about precision, not excess. Sharpen the sword — don’t swing it wildly. TRAIN WELL. ⚡ RECOVER HARD. ⚡ RACE FAST. #dowork #mondayminute #racingseason

@d__power is having a heck of a early cross season. The secret? Training consistent from last February! No magic sessions. No sessions that leave you doubled over in pain. Mostly easy. Sometimes hard. Always well fueled. Duh. #hwpo #dowork #cyclocrosslife @fastsplits

Things I like: -snacks -protein -snacks with protein If I’m trying to be a jacked up old dude, protein laden snacks are key. I’ve been trying these @addra_labs bars for a few weeks now. They taste good. They are easy to eat post workout or in between meals. And they check the boxes on the nutritional front! Wanna try some? Go to their site and use code PBM to save some 💰 Let me know whatcha think!
