It will be exhibited at the award winners’ exhibition from March 3–8. If you’re nearby, we would love for you to visit. This work has gradually transformed over the past three years as we’ve continued reflecting on our complex feelings toward AI, its evolving role and function, and our changing relationship with it. We are grateful that it has finally taken a form that can be exhibited. For this exhibition, we created a database based on the leaked list of artist names reportedly used for AI training by Midjourney. We hope this work becomes an opportunity to discover and learn about these artists. 15 years ago, I lead a project with @brandonlitman that made a film in every country of the world. It was a profoundly humbling experience. with the help of the United Nations dozens of nonprofits and over 10,000 people we created 3000 hours of footage that made a feature film that is still a one-of-a-kind world record of human collaboration. It’s a lesson that ideas are bigger than you are. If you water them, they can grow— thank you to everyone who participated back then and co-created.

Happy 10/10/24. It’s wild to think that 14 years ago I was in the center of a project that was made in every country in the world on the same day and made a world, record-breaking film and established a global community of over 30,000 people and 60 nonprofits and United Nations. for a long time my identity was that guy made one day on earth these days. People say that guy dances a lot and wears cat shirts. I guess that’s a funny transition. All those things are true and I’m still making so many creative things but the joy of that day is still monumental. #onedayonearth #2010 #10/10
