Today, I had the pleasure of visiting the Four Corners Branch of the @bramptonlibrary in celebration of Brampton Book Week.
I held a Mayor’s Family Storytime and had the opportunity to read to children and their families—an inspiring reminder of how stories can spark imagination, curiosity, and a lifelong love of reading. 📚
It’s the final weekend of Brampton Book Week! Until May 3, readers of all ages are invited to take part in engaging events and workshops designed to inspire creativity and bring our community together.

Let’s keep encouraging reading, learning, and creativity across our city.
We are laser focused on public safety in Peel Region — and we’re delivering real results.
Our mission is clear: Make Brampton and Peel the worst place in North America for organized crime to operate.
✅ Hired 785 new Peel Regional Police officers (2023 to 2026)— the largest frontline expansion per capita in Canada
✅ Building the new 23 Division — Peel’s first new police station in 40 years
✅ Deployed 360° high-resolution cameras and next-generation 911 technology
✅ Successfully lobbied Ottawa for auto theft scanners at intermodal hubs, advocated for the lawful access legislation which was presented in parliament and fought for real bail reform which has finally been approved.
We’re hitting organized crime where it hurts. Watch the video here for full @peelregionalpolice progress report ☝🏼

Brampton has always cared about our environment. Thank you to everyone participating in park cleanups this spring, especially those doing their part to keep our city beautiful all year round.
Today in Brampton, we proudly recognized Journey to Freedom Day — observed annually across Canada on April 30.
This day commemorates the fall of Saigon in 1975 and the extraordinary courage of the Vietnamese “boat people,” who risked everything — perilous seas, pirates, and uncertainty — in their desperate quest for freedom.
Their unbreakable spirit, resilience, and determination have enriched the fabric of Brampton and Canada as a whole. We honour their journey and celebrate their lasting contributions. 🇨🇦
