Derin the Dauntless
Derin the Determined
Derin the Author!
Anyone who reads the book would easily tell that you emptied your heart on those pages. Not in an overwhelming sense, but in a thoughtful and deliberate way that makes vulnerability feel purposeful.
Working with you was a joy, and I’m honoured that you entrusted us @patchworkquilt.co with the shaping of your story.
Seeing your book complete and in your hands is deeply satisfying, and I pray for the many others who will hold a copy—that they will come to know that clay in the hands of the Potter is not a mess, but art in progress.
Congratulations, @derintheking . I’m really, really happy for you.
What a joy it was to have worked with @theglobaltemi on two out of THREE BOOKS in she published in 2025.
After we were done working on her first book, “In Your Twenties,” Temilade was already talking about her next one pictured here. Just like with the first book, she completely trusted me and my team to deliver excellently.
She didn’t know I also trusted her to outdo herself. And she did. ‘Failure Is Not the End’ is a solid piece of work. I’m proud of the work we did on it, but even more so, I’m immensely proud of authors like Temi who give self-publishing a good name.
If you’ve read this book or any by Temilade Salami, I hope you’re telling her she’s awesome.
@patchworkquilt.co loves you, Temi. See you soon. 🤭

Working with @jbums was divinely orchestrated.
When she reached out, I knew I would work with her, and I don’t feel this way about everyone who contacts me for work. There was just that…something. It could only have been the Lord.
Needless to say, it was a wholesome experience for me. What was planned in the divine was sustained by real skill; also supplied by the divine.
I’m really happy to see this book out in the world. Let me tell you, IT IS A GREAT BOOK. Snag a copy before you hear sold out.
Congratulations, ma! It happened as you said by prophecy.
My favorite kind of authors to work with are the ones who know exactly what they want, but even more than that, what they do not want.
That was Ezinne.
From our initial conversation to all the subsequent discussions while the book was being produced and until it was done, she had a vision and trusted that we could work together to birth it.
This tenacity didn’t make her inflexible and rigid, which is another thing that made working on His Eye Is on the Sparrow even more beautiful. She would ask questions, listen, PRAYYYY about things, and make wise, Spirit-led decisions.
80,000+ words and several months later, this gem of a book is making its way into your hands. Hit the link in her bio to snag a copy or two.
God bless you, @ezinne.zara . Hearty congratulations on the release of HEIOTS! The world will know that you have a Father who backs the ones He sends.
This year, we partnered with 13 authors to build their books. It took a lot of care, patience, and several cups of coffee. 😬
Thank you for trusting us with your words, returning with new ones, and stayed the course through drafts, comments, and revisions.
We’re grateful to do this work with you.
See you next year. ✨
Client spotlight: Mrs. Solape Fayemi ✨
It was such a joy to work with the lovely Mrs. @solapefayemi on her newly launched book, Golden & Grounded. This book is a soulful, practical guide for purpose-driven women who are ready to stop performing and start living from a place of truth.
We handled editing and manuscript clean-up for layout, and delivered on a tight timeline! From first draft to press, Mrs. F was clear, gracious, and deeply committed to getting her brilliant message into the world.
She knew what she wanted, trusted our process, and gave us room to do our best work—even when the clock was ticking. It was one of the smoothest, most joy-filled client experiences we’ve had.
The book launched on July 19 and every single copy sold out at the event. Now that’s what we love to see! 💛
Congratulations again, Mrs. F! May Golden & Grounded continue to bless, heal, and anchor everyone who reads it.

From doctrine to prayer to dating, each project stretched something different in us. However, our commitment remained consistent:
• Honour the voice
• Sharpen the message
• Serve the reader
Grateful for the opportunity to partner with Apostle Emmanuel Iren across three impactful books!
Which of these titles do you have on your shelf?

I love a good challenge.
So when Temilade reached out saying she was finally ready to edit her book—but with a deadline of less than 48 hours—I jumped in without hesitation.
It was especially meaningful because this was the same book she’d told me about months earlier. Now, it’s out in the world and already making an impact in young lives across the globe.
Congratulations on your release, @theglobaltemi ! Cheers to many more books ahead. Thank you for trusting Patchwork Quilt.

Friendship, like writing, is an intentional pursuit.
It requires showing up, even on days when you’d much rather remain in your own world. Choosing to stay when it would be easier to walk away; drafting one chapter after another, because your story is meaningful and worth seeing through to the end.
@bolasodun ’s Building Forever Friendships is a beautiful reminder of that truth. Released in 2023, this is a guide for anyone who wants to build friendships that are deep, honest, true, and lasting.
Editing this book was a privilege. It felt less like work and more like being let into something soulful and intimate.
Thank you, @bolasodun , for letting us be part of your process—and for writing something that continues to matter today, and will for years to come.

@stephanieodili_ is one of our longest-standing authors. From her very first manuscript to this incredible double release, she’s trusted Patchwork Quilt to shape her words and sharpen her message.
She recently launched not one, but TWO new books.
Different themes, but that same unmistakable, powerful voice.
Editing Stephanie’s work has always felt like tuning an instrument that already knows its sound. Our job is simply to make it sing.
Thank you, @stephanieodili_ , for letting us be part of your author journey again and again.
Here’s to every client who shows up—and never stops showing up. You’re the reason we’re still in business.

Editing a book is a bit like midwifery.
You’re not the one pushing out the story, but you’re in the room; guiding, supporting, gently saying “You’ve got this.”
That’s what it felt like working with @bisolabadejo on her new book, ‘When God Met a Feminist.’
She brought the vision and we helped her shape it—word by word, chapter by chapter, page by page—until it was ready to be born.
Yesterday, she celebrated another year of life. Today, we celebrate this new life: her book.
@bisolabadejo , thank you for trusting us with your voice!
