New light fixture in the works. This is a geodesic patch and can be made in larger configurations up to about 10' in diameter, with lights on both the top and bottom surfaces, in brass or aluminum (shown). The LED hardware and control system are new this year. These are the smoothest and most versatile dynamic light strips we've ever designed.

What a bullshit future, doing all the menial tasks that the robots are too skilled to bother with.

Corian Polyhedron. Made this to test some new features in the CAM software I've been writing. Thanks to @umproject and @dcc_works for the help.

Camp Parallel, summer 2022. My nephew Idris is better at electronics assembly than many 30 year olds. Lewis Hamilton is his role model and his dads favorite dumb joke is 'guess what, chicken butt'.

Finally, the end of Agnieszka Kurant's 'The End of Signature' at MIT. Thanks to @agnieszka.kurant , @tanyabonakdargallery , @craftengineeringstudio , @vsbkny and @noblegoods for collaboration on a really tough project.

Flipping weldments can be gnarly. The trick is to lift flat off the table with two hoists, then raise one side until the load is vertical. Disconnect the rigging from the slack hoist, spin the load 180 degrees and then reconnect the slack side and set it down flat again. Stay the fuck out of the way and hope the tack welds don't break.

Project to make a project: custom CNC bender with a Rhino / python software front end. It's now forming the sidewalls of structural tube weldments for a new Agnieszka Kurant installation at MIT. #cncbending #computationalfabrication

Our pandemic product:. New installation in Bethesda, Md, designed by ESI and engineered in collaboration with Craft. About 1300' of rolled stainless tubing suspended above a public plaza, this was a tough project to pull off but with significant investments in digital fabrication it came together seamlessly over a two week install. Very grateful for a solid crew and collaborators!
