Fadi Syriani’s short film “All This Death”(@all_this_death ) premiered at the Annecy International Film Festival (@annecyfestival ) last year and has since screened at major festivals worldwide, most recently winning the Narrative category at the Fujifilm Short Film Festival (@fujifilmme ). The 16-minute long stop motion follows Vladimir, an elderly Beirut resident through his ritual of obsessively reading obituaries and attending strangers’ funerals daily, and explores themes of death, grief, and memory. ​The film continues its festival journey this year, screening at Animatex (@animatex.egypt ) in Cairo from 11–15 February and Kaboom Animation Festival (@kaboomfestival ) in Amsterdam from 13–22 March.
