@reneeisfunnyy will participate in the 114th CAA (College Art Association) at Hilton Chicago. On Feb 21st, 2:30pm–4:00pm, Renee Yu Jin will present “Meta-publishing: Asian Diasporic Networks and the Social Life of 𝓡𝓪𝓲𝓵𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓒𝓸𝓭𝓮𝔁 (2025)” in The Agency of Artists: Through and Beyond Books panel.

Renee Yu Jin is a PhD candidate in Visual and Cultural Studies and a lecturer in art at the University of Rochester. Her research lies at the intersection of the anthropology of art, labor studies, modern and contemporary Chinese art, and creative technologies. Her writing has appeared in Journal of Cultural Interaction in East Asia, Invisible Culture, and the Committee for the Anthropology of Science, Technology & Computing at the American Anthropological Association. Her research has been supported by the Wenner-Gren Dissertation Fieldwork Grant and the Ferrari Global Scholar Award. Alongside her scholarly research, Jin maintains an active artistic practice across sculpture, drawing, installation, and video.
