Not every dress we create is just about beauty. Some are about purpose.
Over the weekend, we styled a bride who came all the way from the U.S. 🇺🇸 to say “I do” here in Lagos, at the iconic @thedelborough and her reception at the grand @themonarcheventcentre .
But that’s not what made her story special to us.
Two weeks to her wedding, her original designer disappointed her.
Two weeks!!!
Panic. Uncertainty. Fear.
And then… she found us.
Now, if you know Ovem Bridal, you know we don’t take last-minute orders.
Our brides typically book 4 months in advance.
But this wasn’t just a booking.
This was a call for help.
And beyond fashion, this is ministry. So we said yes.
In 1 week and 3 days, what seemed impossible became reality.
We created a dress that didn’t just fit her body, it restored her confidence, her joy, and her moment.
Because at Ovem, we don’t just make dresses. We show up when it matters most. We cover our brides in more than fabric. We cover them in grace, excellence, and intention.
And when she walked down that aisle, you would never know the story behind it.
Just beauty, just peace, just perfection
This is what happens when purpose meets craftsmanship.
Welcome to Ovem Bridal.
Where your moment is safe with us.

Creating Simi Drey’s dress was more than just making a glass dress. For me, it was about intention, texture, emotion, and detail.
One thing that was extremely important throughout this process was ensuring that every piece of glass used was properly cut, refined, and smoothened. I didn’t want the dress to feel harsh or unsafe. I wanted it to feel polished, elegant, and beautifully structured despite the use of glass.
From the beginning, I envisioned the dress like a wall of mirrors, reflective, captivating, and artistic, with vines and creeping flowers crawling across it like nature growing over architecture. I wanted the glasswork to feel fluid and figure-hugging, not heavy or rugged.
Every placement was intentional.
Every reflection mattered.
Every detail had to tell the story.
This is only a quick glimpse into the making because truthfully, I was deeply focused on bringing the vision to life rather than filming every single step. But seeing the final piece come together exactly how I imagined it, that feeling was unforgettable.
And the love this dress received all over the world reminds me why I create the way I do.
At OVEM, we are constantly exploring how art, craftsmanship, and fashion can exist beautifully together.

You saw glass, a marbling of beads, now sequins as scales for the most beautiful teenager on the #amvca12 red carpet @darasiminadi . This piece was hand crafted with love and intentionality. The color arrangement, well thought out. Seeing in this piece was so heartwarming. We can’t wait to create with you next year Dara baby.
A coat of many colours, reimagined through art, luxury, and craftsmanship.
For AMVCA 12, we drew inspiration from the timeless story of Joseph. The son so deeply loved that he was gifted a coat of many colours by his father, Jacob. But instead of fabric alone, we envisioned this masterpiece as a mosaic of identity, favour, beauty, and purpose.
Every colour tells a story.
Every fragment reflects intention.
Every detail speaks of artistry beyond fashion.
This breathtaking piece created for @morayobrown was handcrafted with over 50,000 glass beads, meticulously hand beaded from top to bottom to create a rich tapestry of colour, texture, and light. Finished with a dramatic detachable train, the dress embodies elegance, royalty, and the kind of craftsmanship that cannot be rushed or replicated.
At OVEM, we believe luxury is not just in appearance. It is in the details, the vision, the hours, the precision, and the emotion woven into every piece.
What may look simple from afar is actually thousands of carefully placed beads coming together to form wearable art.
This is not just couture.
This is storytelling through design.
This is craftsmanship meeting legacy.
This is OVEM.

Glass!!!!
What if the broken pieces were never meant to destroy you but to reveal you?
For @simidrey AMVCA 12 look, we created more than a dress.
We created a reflection.
Inspired by the scripture: “Beholding as in a glass, we become…” This piece was designed to remind the world that transformation begins with what you see when you truly look within.
This masterpiece was handcrafted with over 7,000–8,000 shattered glass pieces, individually placed to create a garment that mirrors light, identity, growth, and becoming. Every fragment tells a story: the broken moments, the rebuilding, the evolution, the strength, the beauty.
Because sometimes, the most powerful version of you is found in the pieces you thought were shattered.
This dress is a reminder that beyond physical beauty, there is a deeper reflection waiting to be seen. Purpose, power, identity, and royalty.
At OVEM, we do not just create dresses.
We create art that speaks.
Art that provokes emotion.
Art that reminds women who they are.
And this, this was fashion meeting revelation.

While everyone reached for beads and crystals, we chose clay.
For AMVCA 12 Culture Night, we wanted to create something that would not just be seen… but remembered. So we stepped away from the expected and embraced art in its rawest form.
Every embellishment on this piece worn by the beautiful Timidre was handcrafted from clay, individually painted, and carefully applied to create depth, texture, and a striking visual story. These custom clay pieces were specially made and shipped all the way from London to Nigeria for this masterpiece.
At the back of the dress, we recreated the iconic head of the Oba of Benin, a powerful symbol of heritage, royalty, and strength. From the sketching process to weeks of detailed hand beading and craftsmanship, every detail was intentionally created to pay homage to the richness of the Benin culture while pushing the boundaries of modern African fashion.
This was not just fashion.
This was sculpture.
This was storytelling.
This was OVEM choosing originality over trends.
Because true creativity is daring to create what nobody else imagined. ✨
Not every masterpiece needs crystals to shine.
For AMVCA 12 Culture Night, we chose to tell a different story. A story sculpted by hand, shaped by heritage, and driven by fearless creativity.
This piece worn by the stunning @simidrey is a homage to the greatness of the Benin culture, a fusion of history, art, and avant-garde fashion. Instead of beads, we chose clay. Every clay embellishment on this dress was handcrafted and hand-painted individually, proving that true luxury is not always about following trends, but creating moments that can not be ignored.
At the back sits the iconic head of the Oba of Benin, recreated through sketching, hand beading, sculpting, and weeks of intentional craftsmanship to embody royalty, strength, and identity.
This was more than a dress.
It was wearable art.
It was culture in motion.
It was OVEM daring to create differently.
Because creativity has no limits when art meets purpose.
