Our 2026 Season is Officially Launching (very very soon)!
If you’re new here, hi! We are Path to Play!
Path to Play is a result of passion for movement and community. With a wonderful backcountry readily available at our doorstep, it made sense to build something that fostered a connection between community and nature. Trail running, a common passion shared between the founders, seemed like the easiest way to do this.
In our day to day, there’s an emphasis on success, performance, and productivity. Path to Play aims to do the exact opposite of that. There is no time objective, race to build up to, or comparison to anyone.
It’s about bringing people together outside to explore our innate ability for play and curiosity. It’s to provide a safe and welcoming space where can share knowledge, learn, and explore something new, different, and at times, challenging.
Our core program at Path to Play is our LEARN Program — designed to introduce beginners to the trails!
IMPORTANT: Access is important to us!
⭐️ Transportation: we offer carpooling support!
⭐️ Gear Library: don’t have a vest? We have one for you to borrow!
To learn more about what to expect in our program, swipe through or DM us.
We’re so so excited to explore the trails with you (very very) soon!

The rain stayed away & the community showed up for each other. 🌤️
Down to Earth last Saturday was everything and more, with birthday sing-alongs, walkers and runners hyping each other up on the trails, new connections, old friendships rekindled, doughnuts, and some incredible giveaways from @nike .
For many of us, it felt like walking back into a room full of friends. And that’s the whole point.
Thank you for joining us in kicking off the trail run season by celebrating this partnership between Path to Play x RunReady. It’s been such a rewarding journey collaborating together behind-the-scenes and in-person at events like these! In just a few months, we’ve achieved so much together and we can’t wait to see where this partnership takes us.
Thank you to our partners — @peacasasnacks , @leesdonuts.ca & @drink.normal — for keeping all of us well fed and hydrated with the post-run eats!
See you on the trails again very soon! 🍃
We gather with gratitude on the unceded traditional territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people.

Yesterday was a good reminder of what this is really about. Getting outside and moving together. Thanks to everyone who came out for Down to Earth.
This started with the @ourpathtoplay scholarship, supported by RunReady. Six months of mentees showing up and spending time on the trails. Yesterday was an extension of that, bringing more people into it.
Time on your feet, and a chance to feel more connected to where you are.
It all came together with Path to Play and RunReady, with @acg showing up in a big way, and support from @leesdonuts.ca , @peacasasnacks , and @drink.normal .

If you’re joining us at the Down to Earth trail event today, you’ll see the tee out there. If not, this is your chance to grab them before it’s gone.

* REPOST* Every lead and sweep at this event identifies as a woman - and that’s intentional.
We wanted every attendee to see themselves reflected at the front. In trail running and backcountry sports, that still doesn’t happen enough. Women now make up 46% of trail race participants, but leadership in the sport is a different story.
So, this is us taking action — with our own alumni leading the way on April 18th. Path to Play was built to change who feels like they belong outdoors and our focus this year is to empower all those identifying as women lead, participate, and enjoy this space safely and inclusively. And RunReady has always believed community work means making intentional shifts.
This is one of them. See you on the trails!
“Only up from here.” And we couldn’t agree more, Liz.
After 6 months of showing up, putting one foot in front of the other, and finding her forest bubble, Liz is closing out her trail scholarship chapter in the best way possible. She’s stepping up as a trail lead and sweep at our Down to Earth event on April 18th.
We are so proud of you, Liz!
She’ll see you on the trails, April 18th 🍃
