Run until the next one.
Recent work for @ourpathtoplay x @runready.io and their community first trail event. Folks got to test out some @acg swag and eat some treats after a 3, 5 or 7km loop! Itâs always a pleasure to be part of events like this that get people moving in the great outdoors đ¤đź
Shout out to Dawn for showing us how donuts should be consumed.
Finally got up to Joffre after many years of watching this zone from the sidelines. A hell of a day considering I thought we might not find anything good to ski. The kicker was us not expecting to go mid-way via boot pack. Thanks to J-Mount for leading the climb as we faffed our way up the steeps. And John for pivoting when he was lead to believe we were skiing Whis, lol. Heck of a day with the fellas, and not bad for my first tour of the season!
After all these years the folks at Arcâteryx heard my prayers and finally released a mountain biking kit! The all new Rhoam kit will be great for Spring riding.
And I couldnât feel more aligned as I head into my 6th year as an @arcteryxbc Metrotown ambassador. Iâm always grateful for the storeâs support after all these years, thank-you.
Iâm pumped to be riding in this gear for the seasonâcatch you on the trails!

Back in my dayâŚI used to skateboard around the mean streets of Grande Prairie. Filming two stair sets, random waxed up curbs and having the odd run-in with security guards. The creativity was flowing and it was fun making short video edits from the footage we got. So meeting up with @weiyungwu for a skate session brought back a little bit of those memories. And helped bring back some of that creative innocence that got me started in the first place. đ¤đź Thanks for coming out dude!
Heading north to Chiang Mai and starting our Thailand trip here was a wise move. Temps during this time of year (Jan) are cooler so itâs a good way to ease into the Thai heat! You can find a whopping 300 temples that overlook the old city. And within the gates youâll find a blend of food markets, artistic spaces, modern coffee shops and bustling streets. But the city doesnât feel that big, and itâs easy to hop on a scooter and leave for more serene spaces. We visited many temples, one was dug into the side of a hill while others stood atop mountains. CM had a great ratio of both urban chaos and peace within nature.
Hong Kong, I remember as a teenager Iâd hear about classmates visiting this city and thinking how foreign that was. My only familiarity of it came through movies like Rush Hour 2, and more recently in the show Expats. The HK skyline is honestly the most striking Iâve ever seen, a wall of illuminated buildings that ignite massive light displays which dances out of the harbour with Victoria Peak standing behind it.
From riding the ding-dings (street cars) through Central, to climbing the steep staircases that weave neighbourhoods together. What struck me most is how effortlessly the city blends old and new: temples tucked between buildings, infamous food stalls in the shadow of luxury malls. And somehow, nature is never far. Within minutes you can trade the density for hiking trails, ocean, and lush green hills. Hong Kong feels grand, cinematic, and electric.
As always, a post like this isnât asking for pity, Iâm just here to share and honour, forever and always.
How can it be four years now? Why are we here now? Is this real? Iâm always asking myself these questions when I think about dad. I still sit with a lot of shock and anger that heâs not here anymore. We still cry often when thinking of dad, but we also laugh when thinking about the happy times too. I so badly miss his voice, I replay how it would sound so I donât ever forget, I wish I would have recorded him just talking. I wish I could have been more brave when he was sick. I wish I came home sooner and stayed longer. I wish we could have one more conversation, damn, just one more chat. And if we could, Iâd say, how much everyone misses you, how grateful people are for all the help you gave them, how often we hold memories of you. That we hope you found peace, and as always, how much we love you. âĽď¸
