@ottostudio never starts a project with the logo.⁠ ⁠ The Leeds-based duo of @teovillacci and @lliamkay take a different approach: they begin with whatever a client’s biggest output is – could be an album, a website or a campaign – and let the identity emerge from there. For Olivia Dean’s album, they heard the music first and knew it needed to feel soft and delicate, so they started with layouts and mood rather than typefaces.⁠ ⁠ That process was shaped by necessity. Both started freelancing after COVID, taking on work across industries with tiny budgets. It taught them to be resourceful and to make every concept count. Brand Identity for Studio Beyond 🧪 Beyond is a London and LA-based studio delivering insights, strategy and leadership for some of the world’s most iconic brands. Partnering with the likes of Netflix, Paul Smith, Nike, and The National Gallery to uncover clarity and conviction. Over the past year we have been working continuously with beyond to refine their visual identity and brand language. We reimagined their iconography, typography, image treatments, and motion that reflect their integrated process and pursuit of clarity in a noisy world. It’s been an enormous pleasure collaborating with the Nic, Ben & Kelsey on this project @lliamkay @teovillacci @nicola_strange @graceelisabethc @brandnkay studiobeyond.co
