Still trying to process the last 4 weeks.
Earlier this year, I got selected as a Creative Producer for the British Council Film Lab Africa programme — from over 2,000 applicants across the continent. What followed was four weeks of intentional learning, conversations, collaboration, and being stretched creatively alongside brilliant filmmakers and storytellers.
We had sessions with veteran producers behind projects like House of the Dragon and Supacell, among many others who generously shared their knowledge, experiences, and honesty about the work it takes to build stories that travel.
April — my birth month — kinda just became one of the richest months I’ve had in a while. I kept this journey on the down low for some time, but I’m genuinely grateful to finally share it here.
Grateful for growth.
Grateful for the people.
Grateful for the reminder that there’s still so much more to learn, build, and create.
