PDS x @ad_italia @archdigest | “A home not designed to impress, but to help you find yourself again.” Some homes are created to be seen. This one was created for the people living inside it. From the beginning, this project was about understanding what life actually feels like for them - the pace they move at, the energy they carry, the moments they rarely get to slow down. Because the truth is, the outside world asks a lot. It asks to be ON at all times. For structure. For constant decision making. So home needed to offer something different. A place where they don’t have to hold it all together. A place where they can soften. Linen drapery that filters and quiets. Earthy white and Roman Clay walls that absorb rather than reflect. Natural Reclaimed French Oak wood underfoot and on walls to ground you back into your body. Nothing is excessive. Everything is felt. Even in the smallest moments - walking up the stairs, washing your hands at the petrified wood sink, sitting down at the travertine stone table - the space is designed to slow the body and quiet the mind. To bring you back to yourself. Because a home has the power to do that. Not by being louder… but by creating the conditions for you to simply be. ELLE DECOR MARCH 2020 COVER…What!?! Feels like I blinked, and now we’re gracing the pages of my fave magazine. • Real talk - it was WAY MORE THAN JUST A BLINK. The PROCESS. The PEOPLE. The HARD WORK. • Starting from the beginning: @egreener & @brentmichelle had an insanely gorgeous wedding, officiated by @wakingupwithryan . I was the DJ(!). @SophiaBush rolled up with a truck full of food to be prepared by the ever talented @alextcooks . We danced the nights away under the stars. • As we got back home, I received a text from Emily connecting me and Soph. Soph mentioned a gorg 1950’s mid-century modern home that needed lots of help after a runaway contractor left the home destroyed. • We immediately started reimagining the space together... dreaming what this space could become - layouts for fluid movement, expansion and functionality. • As I always do, we started with the kitchen. Soph LOVES entertaining and everyone always hangs out in the kitchen! It was important to open up the floor plan to have a connection from the kitchen into the living space. • Soph wanted the master bathroom to feel like a serene, peaceful space. Soph, Jake, and I did so by designing rounded edges (like the blush curved shower wall) to create an intimate cave-like experience. • Check out the Elle Decor article to see the various build and design elements. One you won’t see is the build-out of an attic space replicating the original butterfly ceiling/roof design. Previously, all HVAC (air conditioning) ducting and Electrical lines were exposed on the roof. So, we created a 3ft attic space for all new ducting, copper plumbing lines, electrical (new recessed lighting!), A/V wiring, and a cast iron roof drain system. • I could continue to share the endless structural work (which makes me giddy) but my fingers will fall numb so instead I’ll tell you this home was built with so much love and detail. Every inch took immense thought and care. • Soph, Jake, John, and Jen - WHAT A CREW. We did it y’all! Rain. Sunshine. No Service or WIFI. We bonded. We did the work. We crushed it. • cc: @jakealexanderarnold @johnaldensharp @jenniferlambros @elledecor 📷: @trevortondro #LAResidentELLE

PDS x @elledecoration_es | Thrilled to be featuring a project very close to my heart. For nearly a decade, I’ve had the privilege of designing and building homes for clients. When you work this closely with families, you start to notice things that go far beyond finishes or floor plans. You notice the quiet dynamics. The rhythms of how people move through their homes. The emotional cues in conversations. The moments when a space either supports someone… or quietly works against them. Behind the scenes, I found myself naturally responding to these observations - weaving small decisions into my designs that supported how people actually live, feel, and interact. At the time, I didn’t have language for it. I just knew it mattered. Nowita was the first time I was able to bring that instinct fully to life. I designed it. I built it. I curated every interior layer. But more importantly, it became the moment where the process crystallized into something much deeper - what I now call Internal Architecture. A way of designing homes that considers not only the structure of a space, but the inner lives of the people living inside it. Because our homes are not just containers for our lives. They quietly shape how we feel, connect, and move through the world every day. Nowita will always hold a special place for me - it’s where this philosophy truly began. Thank you to everyone who was involved in bringing this to life, especially to the most incredible clients I'm lucky to call family. NANTUCKET | Some homes reveal their needs quietly. When we first began working on this Nantucket home, the architecture told just as an important story as the family living there. We began reimagining the house around connection. At the very heart of the home, the kitchen was designed to bring everyone back together. A place where daily life naturally gathers — cooking, eating, homework at the table, meaningful conversations, a TV on in the background. Using the existing footprint and hard surfaces, we softened the environment intentionally. Alabaster white walls and millwork, unlacquered brass hardware that will age and warm over time, relaxed linen roman shades filtering the light gently, clay textures that bring the earth back into the room. All created for the mother of the home. Where the softness of the space allows her to return to a more feminine, relaxed state after carrying so much strength in the outside world. Because sometimes the most meaningful design decisions are the ones that help us come back to ourselves.

GROUND UP | This Beverly Hills project feels especially meaningful. The owners are entering a new chapter of life. Their children have grown, the house that once held the busyness of raising a family has quieted, and a new generation has arrived. The man behind this home is someone who has spent his life creating a sense of home for others. Loyal, steady, and endlessly generous with his energy. The kind of person who naturally puts himself in the backseat so everyone around him can thrive. This project is an opportunity for the home itself to give something back - a place for him to rest, reset, and finally enjoy the life he’s worked so hard to create. And for his wife, whose warmth and generosity fills every room she enters, this home is the realization of a dream she’s always imagined. A place where she can nourish herself and family, be with the people she loves, and continue to create the kind of environment that makes everyone feel right at home. Designing a home at this stage of life is about something deeper than aesthetics. It’s about understanding the emotional landscape of the people who live there. How they gather. How they recharge. How the space can support the next chapter of their lives. This home will be filled with new memories. And it’s an honor to help shape the place where those moments will unfold.

For my client deficient in their wood element, we enhanced their dining room with vertical grain white oak plinths to showcase their sculptures that embodied confidence and assertiveness. I mean, look at that posture and toe point! Also, the wood element in the dining room activates conversation, family unity, and connection. The perfect recipe 🤌🏻😘. #fengshui #woodelement #interiordesign #internalarchitecture #green #whiteoak #sculpture #art #diningroom

Indoor/outdoor pots and plants set the tone and intention of a space, influencing how it feels the moment you step onto the property. For our project, we brought in pairs of lavender and olives, along with a variety of other plant species to welcome a few creatures 🐝 and beauty. Thoughtfully placed greenery, pathways, and natural elements guide energy flow transforming the space.

A cozy chaise and natural wood side table harmonize comfort and balance, creating a perfect Feng Shui nook for relaxation and peace. I designed this corner with soft textures to invite stillness, while the earthy tones ground the energy. #FengShui #InteriorDesign #LADesign #Nook #ChaiseLounge #SideTable #FiveElements #InternalArchitecture #WoodElement #EarthElement #Tranquil #Balance #Stillness #Comfort

Based on this client’s Internal Architecture Assessment, we needed to infuse her sanctuary, the primary bedroom, with a stronger presence of Earth Element. Interested to learn more, check out some of my prior reels, or head to the link in my bio and take my Feng Shui Five Element Archetyping quiz to see what element I suggest to infuse in your space. #BacktoBalance #FengShui #InteriorDesign #LosAngelesDesign #FiveElements #EarthElement #FireElement #BlackOliveTree #Clay #Soulful #Greens #Nature #EarthyColors
