For the last 18 years I’ve been asking one question: What does it mean to truly wake up to who you truly are? That question has taken me through study, practice, mistakes, breakthroughs, and thousands of conversations with people navigating their own awakening journeys. For 15 years I’ve been thinking about creating something to share those insights. And now it’s finally happening. In June 2026, I’ll be launching the Waking Up with Ryan Podcast with @iheartpodcast . It’s a daily (Monday–Friday) morning podcast — about 10 minutes each day — a place to plug yourself into the depth of your heart before jumping into the world. Each episode will offer a short reflection, some guidance, and a simple practice to help you return to yourself. And alongside those daily episodes will be longer conversations with people sharing their own awakening journeys — the confusion, the courage, the healing, and the moments when something inside you remembers who you really are. 18 years in the making. And somehow, arriving exactly when it’s meant to. Launching June 2026.

I’ve been wanting to write this song for 7 years. Today, I finally did. This prayer has quietly shaped my life every single day for the last 17 years. It came from a realization I had through studying A Course in Miracles: that so much of our suffering comes from believing we know exactly how life should unfold. And that all the Universe actually needs from us is our willingness. Our willingness to be guided. To surrender. To loosen our grip on our plans, timelines, and demands. My husband and I have a six-week-old baby, so life has been beautifully full-on lately. Today, family watched our daughter so we could sneak away into nature, soak in the hot springs, reconnect, and just be. Standing there, something in me said: sing it. So I did. Sharing this little prayer in case it’s meant for someone today 🤍

So much of your life is spent trying to fix yourself. Trying to become “better.” Trying to get rid of the parts you don’t like. But what if nothing about you actually needs to be fixed? Who you really are… is not the voice in your head. It’s not your personality. It’s not your insecurities or your past. Who you really are is the awareness of all of it. And that awareness… has no judgment. It doesn’t reject your ego. It doesn’t shame your patterns. It doesn’t need you to be different. This is why learning to embrace all you think you are matters. Can you love your ego? Yes. Not because it’s who you are… but because it’s part of your human experience. And when you bring love to it instead of resistance, it begins to soften its grip.
