Low low, high high. BYE BYE 2025. I closed @keepitbriefco this year. I’m proud of what we built, grateful for what it taught me, and honestly still a bit stunned it’s over. More than anything, I’m grateful for the people who built it alongside me. @clarissaedeline and @enggeng_ , forever. The belief, the graft, the resilience, the candour. One of the best highs was seeing the eldercare zines land after we’d already closed brief. Brought to life at @bluetaped Not just because they were beautifully made, but because they kept the spirit moving forward. Clarissa and Geng are basically leading the charge on what I want to help contribute to next: a brief collective. 2026 feels like it might finally give me the time and space to show up for that properly too. I also stepped away from teaching at NUS (with a great final batch of thesis students:)) and joined the new Social Futures course at LASALLE. Hard to move on from such a brilliant group of colleagues and students, but the pull of something new and experimental will always get me. Thailand for @mee_and_mark and @fableofzm wedding was chaos in the best way. Gatecrash in the sun, dancing to K-pop Demon Hunters, half delirious, making new friends. Also one of those weird full-circle moments, celebrating a couple who met at mine and @megan.miao wedding, now getting married. Life is strange and sweet like that. Then I rejoined the work world from the inside and joined OGP. I’m only just settling, but it’s been a genuinely warm welcome. So many familiar faces from the last decade in Singapore, people I’ve worked with, worked for, taught, been taught by. Also, my sister @clairenorris95 had a baby. I’m an uncle now, which still feels impossible because in my head she’s about 16. What the hell. Cute though. And home life has been @megan.miao , plus three cats negotiating friendship and territory. Pepper, Pickle and Pebble. A lot of lazing around watching them try to become mates, a lot of quiet joy, and a bit of chaos in the corners. Oh Also I got my PR finally and I got to play Santa, 40 years early. Hiya 2026.

End-of-Life Care Zines by brief. The End-of-Life Care Zines are analogue, experiential translations of our mini exploration into end-of-life and elderly care within Singapore’s heartlands. Across three chapters, these zines contemplate the often-overlooked intersections between caregiving, space, and dignity, from the invisible role of domestic helpers in end-of-life care, to the community hubs and everyday mobility aids (such as the PMA) that quietly enable autonomy in old age. Each chapter invites reflection on how these lived observations might inspire Singapore’s future designs for care and aging. Limited copies currently available this weekend at @singaporeartbookfair (31 Oct - 2 Nov 2025) at @bluetaped (booth B20). @enggeng_ @clarissaedeline @orcfull
