Operation Ohio

June 12 - 15, 2025. The vibe, chillin. I am so fortunate to have spent four days rolling Ohio (@operationohio ) with my friends from Get Rolling (@get_rollin ). This was my second year on our pilgrimage from Columbus to Cincinnati. The 365 days that took place between these skates have taught me more than the last 20 years. I have lost loved ones, welcomed new life on this planet, walked away from a career of 17 years in banking, and started our Atlanta Skate Program, @allinstrideatl . There are many ways to measure success and the measuring stick is yours and yours alone. I can’t find the words to express my gratitude to @metha4 , @thee.sel , @zen.and.sage , @lepernyc , @spookwackadoo & @sailor_scary . Thank You, to each of you. Metha asked me what my biggest take away from OO is and for me it is the stress relief. While I’m out on the trail I can’t think of anything but my form, nature, and my crew. 4 days of pure bliss with a little bit of challenge and chaos mixed in. As every blader should dabble in. Thanks to Metha and Selena for the amazing trip they put together each year!! Shout out to Gracie and Nowa for dominating the trail!! Thanks to Scary for the laughs and impromptu waterfall trip!! And never forget THE ROB THOMPSON!! Rob is easily one of my favorite humans and every second spent with him is a gift. That’s another 70 miles in the books for me! This time went way too fast. 1 mile review of the @powerslidebrand Zoom Sunset 90! Never owned 4x90s but they handle really well. The liner is super cool, but definitely needs breaking in. They are already more comfortable than my Nexts so I’m excited to take these to @operationohio !! #zoom90 #powerslide #rollerblading
