After five long years, the follow up to Open Source is finally in stores today! Open Source 02 is a 112 page hardcover book that would not exist without the contributions of a myriad of writers, musicians, installation artists, synth designers, filmmakers, illustrators, painters, printing experts, graphic designers and technicians. It has been a collaboration that spans the globe from Spain, Germany & France to Australia, Korea and Mexico. Check out the new website at opsrc.co for a lot more details on the content, collaborators and artwork featured in the book.
Open Source 02 is now available at:
Control in Brooklyn/New York
@ctrlmod
Mission Synths in SF, CA
@missionsynths
Perfect Circuit in Burbank/LA
@perfect_circuit
Control Voltage in Portland, OR
@controlvoltage
Initial quantities will be very limited. Please call the shops ahead of time to see if they are still carrying any copies in stock. If they are out, please express your interest. A wider release is being planned toward the end of the year around the holidays.
The ubiquitously named Open Source project was born out of the motivation to give artists an enduring forum to speak to their audience and document the creative process and inspiration behind their works. Curating timeless content in a hardcover book celebrates the physical and tactile experience that has been undermined by disembodied online news feeds. It is my hope OS02 inspires people to find new ways to approach their art and to seek out the many fantastically talented contributors featured in the book.
