There are a lot of new faces here, so as we go into the new year, we want to formally introduce ourselves.
Welcome to OB ——— our names are Yewon and Trisha.
OB came to life with the love of fresh concepts in a time where rinse and repeat was beginning to become a norm. We dreamed of new concepts and ideas to introduce to the world and inspire people with vision cultivated through experience, culture, upbringing and influence.
We still love this industry so much and what it brings, it is a privilege to be part of a blooming and ever changing environment, and we aspire to bring you all fresh ideas that stop you in your tracks!
We are so grateful what this year has brought in and the lessons we have learnt, grateful to have the opportunity to grow constantly. If we have learnt anything this year, it’s to keep sacred the love of the game, the love of the art and creating. We understand that it isn’t by chance we are here so we hold it precious as we go into the new year.

So what really does it take to build something from ground up with your best friend?
It’s our most asked question, the biggest debate. Here’s our take. When going in as partners —— your investment is into each other and from there the work overflows and because of that our philosophy will always be friendship first then all else.
From grace to grace we build and ground ourselves in what takes priority, constantly refocusing and pivoting as we go.

We come from hospitality, grit, ambition and family. We are in the business of creating a legacy, not a business —— something our children and their children would be proud to belong to.
We are very aware that a lot of you all come from second / third generation immigrant families and we want to rewrite the narrative of this industry that your roots are the very thing that gives your work depth, substance and leaves an impression beyond a glance.
Don’t do the adult equivalent of hiding your lunchbox during recess. Eat your kimbap, your adobo absolutely unbothered, take what is yours, step up to the plate and own it.
