Elizabeth Kate is a cellist and vocalist from Brooklyn, NY. As One, her recent solo project, explores the body’s relationship to sound by merging voice and cello into a singular entity where instrument and body unite as equal partners. She is currently collaborating with Seare Farhat on Sacred Resonance Fractured Spaces, a concert-length work for voice, cello, and resonating sound objects, premiering in June 2026 with support from the New Music USA, ChamberQueer, and Millay Artists Residency. Elizabeth is also a co-founder and member of AREPO (cello, clarinet, accordion, e–guitar). She holds degrees from Oberlin Conservatory and Norwegian Academy of Music, and performs on a 19th-century Castegnari cello gifted by the Virtu Foundation. 📸 Kathy Sebade
