Today I learned something I didn’t know just days ago… That at birth, you can store your baby’s umbilical cord and placenta stem cells — something so small in the moment, yet potentially powerful for the future. It felt like a quiet, meaningful decision… a way of preserving something so pure from the very beginning of life. A small hope I’m keeping, just in case it’s ever needed 🤍 I chose @smartcellsme and had a professional, smooth experience and great support by Jumana 🙏🏻

Since turning pro in 2010, Jabeur has stood out as one of tennis’s most original talents. A three-time Grand Slam finalist – the US Open in 2022 and Wimbledon in 2022 and 2023 – and the highest-ranked Arab and African player in history, she reshaped the image of what an athlete from the region could achieve. Her latest adventure: becoming a mother for the first time. “My husband is very supportive, but was amazed when he heard you feed the baby every two hours,” she says, smiling. “It’s a journey full of surprises for both of us, but we’re excited. We will create great memories with him from day one”. Read the full March 2026 digital cover story at the link in bio. On #ArabMother’sDay, we step off the court with #OnsJabeur and into one of the most transformative chapters of her life. “For the first time in years, I wake up without a packed tournament schedule,” she says, reflecting on the shift from a life dictated by matches to one now shaped by her pregnancy. “Sometimes it’s hard to believe I’m pregnant, but he has started kicking a little bit, so he’s definitely there.” The world has watched her redefine Arab and African tennis – three-time Grand Slam finalist, highest-ranked player from the region, a trailblazer whose creativity on court mirrors her character. Now, that same spirit is guiding her as she prepares for motherhood. “I want our son to be creative, to make jokes. Most important is that he’s a good person and makes a change in the world,” she shares. She is not rushing back to the tour, choosing instead to let her body lead: “I want to give myself the time to see how my body will react. I don’t want to rush into it. But I definitely would want to go back on tour and compete for a couple of more years.” From champion athlete to mum-to-be, Jabeur’s next chapter is proof that the greatest victories are not always measured in trophies.
