The first
@onrotate was five years ago now, back in 2020, on my 30th birthday. We called it a trial run. But from that day, I knew something special had started. Every year since, we’ve brought a new version to life, growing modestly and, dare I say, organically each time.
This year, life shifted. Our focus has been on our daughter, and with that, the idea of throwing a party felt like too much. That’s why we didn’t do our usual bank holiday event.
But the calling came and the fire returned. We knew we had to do something in the garden again this summer.
What can I say? The On Rotate family, the day ones, showed up. And so did loads of new faces, adding to our growing community.
There were no set times. Just me,
@max_sinal &
@piersrudimental (Sean Green) b2b2b, playing our most beloved records, letting them breathe on the turntables, and watching dancers’ faces light up, hands in the air.
We love you. We’re so grateful. We’ll do it again, I’m sure. But for now, we just hold onto one of those summer days.
