Set within the layered histories of Whitechapel, the exhibition brings together two artistsâ collaborative works developed over the past two years through textile, alternative photography, performance, and shared making process. Across installation, image, and gesture, Suspended Between reflects on relation, migration, bodily memory, and the unstable spaces in between.

Souls grown deep with the threads is a performance created during a residency in a Dong village, inspired by traditional hand-weaving practices. Using frame-sliced imagery, it explores relational tension through warp threads in their most fragile stateâstretched and exposed just before being secured on the loom. The two artists physically connect to either end of the thread, negotiating balance and vulnerabilityâtransforming tension into trust, and order into poetic movement.
For the exhibition Suspended Between, the performance will be restaged, bringing together documentation of its enactment across different contexts.
