Meet the Art Forearm Editorial Board… 💪 Jana Harper is an interdisciplinary artist, educator, and advocate. Trained in fine art, somatic practice, and community activism, she works in both collaborative and individual settings. With mixed Scotch/Irish, French, and Ojibwe ancestry, her work is informed by Anishinaabe history, ideas of recognition and sovereignty, and an ache to help heal generational wounds. She is a member of the Mackinac Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians and is Associate Professor of the Practice at Vanderbilt University where she co-directs the Indigenous Studies cross-disciplinary seminar. 💪 By day, Matt McInerney is a design professional with 30 years of experience in the field of architectural graphics. As one of the leaders of HOK’s Experience Design group, Matt specializes in the field of Sports, Recreation and Entertainment and has led design on a wide variety of projects with clients such as New York City FC, the Orlando Magic and the Chicago Bears. By night, Matt is a musician involved in multiple original projects–writing lyrics, building songs, and playing out whenever possible. With the time left over, he enjoys travelling anywhere with his wife Marie, reading books about process, and nerding out on movies and sports. 💪 David B. Olsen is an associate editor at the University of Chicago Press, where he commissions and acquires guides to writing, editing, publishing, and academic life. He is also the sponsoring editor of Chicago’s Phoenix Poets book series. He earned his PhD from the Department of English at Saint Louis University, where he also taught courses in writing, literature, and graphic novels. Before moving to Chicago in 2017, he was the managing editor at the Pulitzer Arts Foundation in St. Louis, Missouri.

It’s Juno’s “gotcha day”! Four years ago this perfect creature from a Kentucky kill shelter was adopted by me and @esme88 through a Naperville rescue, and she’s been living her (best) life ever since. As anyone who knows me knows, I love this dog!
