Spent a magical few days in Leeds for @aayushimusic 's residency @operanorth We experimented, translated, arranged and adapted a selection of bhajans and ghazals into our own flavour of contemporary folk music. @adam_bassett_official created a beautiful visual vernacular performance running in tandem with the songs. We also had some wonderful BSL performance and interpreting from Stephen Heselton. On top of all that, we talked, ate and laughed a lot whilst making the Bramall Studio our home for the week. Thanks so much to @operanorth @prsformusic resonance fund and to @livmcpro and @kinayasibrahim for supporting us with care, attention and lots of coffee and choccy digestives. Their arts practice explores the psychogeography of an eclectic range of environments to create immersive pieces of work using a combination of field recordings, sampling and live instruments.
