This panel explores how the color dynamics of science fiction - from red alert lights to deep-space blues - come alive through the distinctive visual character of SIGMA Classic lenses. Cinematographers discuss how the lenses’ soft contrast, blooming highlights, and organic flares transform cold, sterile sci-fi environments into emotionally charged worlds. Through colour, light, and glass, we’ll uncover how human warmth survives even in the most futuristic settings.

Supporting the next generation of filmmakers 🎥 is a topic which is very important to me. That is why I decided to use the opportunity @camerimage.festival to donate a tripod, a full ND and BPM 4x5" set, a matte box and a follow focus to the Mainz University of Applied Sciences @hsm.zbm which was represented by lecturer Nils Keber. Already curious to see what their creative minds can achieve with these tools. 🎞 🍿
Just coming back from CamerImage and a little surprise was awaiting me at home. LIT DUO 1 finally has arrived. Cannot wait to use mine on set...now let the testing begin. Thank you @litsystems for bringing (y)our dream light meter alive. 👏

Welcome to the recording (link in bio) of my panel part at CamerImage 2024 at SIGMA & Astera Café in lovely Toruń, Poland. I had the honour to speak about the usage of the SIGMA CLASSIC primes in combination with the SIGMA fp in my ongoing production called ARGUS.
