My @mutantradiotbilisi show is now up on SC. I’m really glad with how this mix turned out. It features beautiful music from musician friends, also gems and B-sides from artiste I listen to a lot. The winter nights inspired this mix. Cold outside, heat in the sound. Warm bodies, low lights. 🖤

Last week I had @jeff_solo as my co-host on my In Between Days show. We shared old gems and new releases, talked about breakdancing and 20 years of friendship. Rotterdam-based Ofra has been part of the Rotterdam city’s music scene for years. She loves to share her music anytime, whether through an intimate radio show or a steamy nightclub set. Over the years, she has developed a rich music palette as both a DJ, music curator and lecturer. Ofra’s eyes and ears are always alert when curating programs to connect artists with music lovers. In 2017, she co-founded the Rotterdam-based online radio station Operator and in 2023, she started her own label, Yarrow Ballet. Her club sets reflect her style. She likes to take people on a journey; beginning with setting the vibe and getting to know each other, building until the night is in full swing. I always treat my mixes like a night out in a club: starting around 23:00 and ending in the late morning, but compressed into a one hour mix. I begin with a calm introduction, which is how I always like to start when constructing a set. I open with a beautiful track by Sonoko, released a while ago on STROOM, Sonoko’s dreamy voice is simply amazing. After that, I keep things light, because you don’t come in too loud right away. That’s also how I like it in a club. Of course, I added some new beat tracks, like Tonight by The New Scene. I also wanted something that feels familiar and safe, which is why I chose a classic track by Robotiko Rejekto. In between, there’s always room for a Betonkust track. From there, the mix becomes darker but remains danceable, featuring tracks from Years of Denial, Sansibar, and an acid classic from 1991. As we move toward the end of the party, I shift into something different to change the energy, followed by a Boy Harsher track, always a great idea. For the final stretch, I wanted to share something that feels like wrapping you in a warm blanket for the way home. The end song; Elizabeth Fraser sings you goodbye as you step out of the club, heading home to sleep or chill somewhere, letting the night slowly sink in. Before Ombra, we sat down with Ofra (@ofra85 ). Rotterdam-based Ofra began in 2011 as part of the DJ duo Hollywood & Vine with Elke Verschoor, before continuing solo from 2017 onward. She loves to share her music anytime, whether through an intimate radio show or a steamy nightclub set. A lover of Wave, New Beat, EBM, Acid and Synthpop, she also holds a special place in her heart for Punk and Shoegaze. Over the years, she has developed a rich musical palette as both DJ and curator, always alert when connecting artists with music lovers. In 2017 she co-founded the online radio station Operator, and in 2023 she launched her own platform/label: Yarrow Ballet. Her club sets reflect her style: she likes to take people on a journey — setting the vibe, building the connection, and carrying the night into full swing.
