Wedding vendors spend so much time talking about how well they see their clients... but when was the last time YOU felt truly seen?
The 1:1 consulting sessions I do with Offbeat Wed vendor members are designed for exactly that. I review your website and messaging, tell you what your brand is currently communicating (not just what you meant to say, but what a stranger actually reads), and we figure out together what to sharpen.
Every new and renewing vendor membership includes a free session. Lemme know if you've got questions, or DM me if you want in.

How folks search the web has changed soooo much this year and regardless of whether or not YOU choose to use AI, the reality is that your prospective clients ARE using it... and understanding how and where to write for LLM bots so that they talk about your biz is a big part of what we're all figuring out in 2026
Vendors: is 2026 feeling slow? Is it the pandemic engagement gap? Polycrisis? Existential dread?? As someone who's been in the wedding industry for 20 years I've got theories, but I want to hear yours.
There’s no way Mandy & Ethan’s magical wedding was 10 years ago today...but that’s what the math says so it must be true! We loved how this creative couple transformed @bodegabaysecretgardens into their own enchanted fairytale, complete with majestic redwoods, a bubbling brook, fairy lights, and fairies.
Mandy dazzled in a @kmkdesignsllc steampunk-inspired gown with a purple ombre hem and a teal petticoat. Ethan rocked a Haunted Mansion tie he bought right after proposing to Mandy on the ride. Their wedding party matched. The dogs matched. Everyone matched.
They walked into their ceremony together and exchanged vows beneath the trees (Ethan cried for the first time ever, according to Mandy). Their fire priestess officiant conjured balls of fire to make the rings appear. They celebrated with pizza, games, pie pops, and a dancefloor wild enough for the Time Warp. And when the Haunted Mansion theme echoed through the forest at the end of the night, everything felt exactly right.
Happy 10th anniversary, Mandy & Ethan! Swipe through for some of our favorite moments from their incredible day. ✨
David's Bridal is the wedding industry's deadbeat ex who just got an MFA in machine learning.
This is a $50 vintage gown that the bride "dresscued" for her wedding day. David's Bridal blamed brides exactly like this (couples opting for "less traditional wedding attire, including thrift wedding dresses") for the company's collapse in its 2023 bankruptcy filing. 😤 (Keep in mind, that was their SECOND TIME declaring bankruptcy.)
Now, two years and one fire-sale bankruptcy buyout later, David's Bridal has rebranded itself as a "tech-powered multihyphenate" with an AI-powered wedding planning platform. The pitch? It will match brides like this with independent vendors, who pay David's Bridal for the privilege... Keep in mind, this is the same company that left independent seamstresses unpaid for thousands of dollars in completed work in 2023!!
And now they want to be your indie vendor's new AI-supported lead-gen platform in 2026!?? Wrote about why this is some bullshit on the blog today. 🤬 I don't normally rant like this, but this is some piping hot vendor tea!

Can you guess what year this wedding happened? Sometimes it's easy to forget that we've been doing our thang for almost 20 years, and then I'm doing some work in the archives and I stumble across these two cuties and just so dang ADORABLE.

The "Butter Lovers Are Better Lovers" neon sign really set the tone for this one. After a matchmaking attempt between colleagues backfired, Cali and Cezanne ended up at a Wisconsin creamery celebrating with botanical embroidery and heart-covered tulle. Check out the full wedding on our site today!

The bouquet toss is a lot higher stakes when the flowers are built into a functional lightsaber hilt. cat.qween's arrangement of deep crimson and electric blue blooms was balanced by a heavy-duty kyber crystal core... because Sith-chic means your accessories are always ready for a duel. You NEEEED to see the full wedding on our blog!
