Wildly over the moon, like I have absolutely noooo chill about how excited I am to share that Baby Tooth is an official selection of the 24th edition of @tribeca festival this year.
Tribeca was the first ever film festival I attended in middle school as a starry eyed lil nerd taking the bus into Manhattan from NJ, Tribeca is where I had one of my first ever internships in college. Tribeca called me less than 24 hours after we lost Keith, I burst into tears on the phone with the programmer for many many layers of reasons. I know Keith’s proud—of himself, of us. He’ll 100% be there with us.
I love this wacky little movie. It was born out of desperation, after I lost funding for my first feature film, after I lost my job, and after I lightly lost my mind. I wrote it in a state of who the heck knows what, and shot it merely weeks later.
Other people may play it cool when they get into the Big Boy Fests, let me tell you, that is NOT me! I’m not cool! I am sooo soo STOKED!
Baby Tooth is playing Fri June 13, Sat June 14, and Sun June 15 - for more info clicky the link in m'bio. Tix go on sale 4/29!

Today is Tiger’s half birthday. We have been parents to Tiger for six months.
When he was a newborn, I looked forward to when he would finally be 6 months old. That’s when he would finally be a Real Baby, I decided. It will be when things finally "get better". It was a totally random age I chose, but I needed something to look forward to.
I think about every rogue person who saw me in the world with him back then and said “Ugh, I miss that age,” I would scoff and say, “Really? Do you?”
It sounds awful maybe, but he was a very colicky newborn with horrible reflux who coated my entire soul and aching heart with a thick layer of regurgitated breast milk.
Tiger laughs now. He smiles readily.
He tries to drink my coffee. He loves grabbing Calvin’s nose and ears. He screams with excitement as I peel a banana for him. I love watching his face light up on the baby monitor when he sees Adam walk into his room first thing in the morning.
Sometimes he cries so much that I cry right back. But that happens less these days.
I don’t know guys, this whole “having a baby” thing is no joke. But I think he’s really beautiful. And he smiles really big whenever he sees himself in the mirror, so he must think so too.
Anyway — here’s a baby themed meme dump.
// Premiere // "I live in a small town on the Oregon Coast that is full of 'characters' and I wanted to capture a sliver of that energy in this film, the extreme and wide spectrum of folks who occupy the same scenic and wild space that is 'the coast'."
🚤 Directed with stylish grit and a lot of heart, absurdist short 'Baby Tooth' offers an unsuspecting man a bizarre choice: buy a boat or pull a tooth? 🦷
In our interview, writer/director @odibz reveals how a real-life encounter with local seller (and now firm friend) @dakotabouher led her to direct a 5-minute stylised fever dream starring that very same seller, which she made with nearly an entirely women/LGBTQ crew and went on to screen at @tribeca and a host of festivals.
