🫨😶 𝑰𝒕 𝑮𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝑺𝒂𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 is a group show curated by Joachim Naudts, bringing together works by Ode de Kort, Uta Eisenreich, Nokukhanya Langa, Sandrine Morgante, Yoshua Okón & Juan Obando, Ahilan Ratnamohan and Lore Smolders. Happy to show my works in this great new context of the church, amongst this wonderful group of artists! Happy to invite you to BBBB IT(E)S OF OOTS – A Slapstick Opera of Grammatics! We will play in two weeks for the first time at @tig_the_image_generator in @extra_city . Next chance to see it is at Playground Festival in @stukleuven in November. A smaller version will be shown during @winternightsmaastricht in December. (And hopefully in other places later as well!) Sounds a bit silly maybe, but it’s been a long time dream of mine to ever be able to make a kind of durational performance. This is the first step. And I’m very proud and excited to share this work with you! It’s been an exciting, funny, warm, doubtful, fearful and enriching experience, meeting and working with great people along the way! /   BBBB IT(E)S OF OOTS by Ode de Kort is a playful, physical exploration of how meaning appears and slips away. Different characters, an opera voice, a boot, and the space itself set out together on a journey. What happens between a B and a T? Can a letter stumble, sing, or glitch? Can an object become language—or lose all meaning?   Through stutters, repetitions, and fragments, an absurd and poetic game unfolds, where language constantly tips and tilts. A boot marks a space, a voice fills a gap, and a motorised performer moves unpredictably between what we grasp and what escapes understanding.
