At the invitation of @odanlab , our children stepped into Odanlab to experience creativity in its rawest form. They engaged with Nyame Nsa, an ongoing exhibition by artist @narteydaniel7 that confronts environmental realities such as deforestation and our collective responsibility to the land. Beyond observation, the children were mentored by Daniel himself, who guided them through a painting session rooted in personal experience, emotion, and mixed media, encouraging them to draw from memory, emotion, and personal truth. We are very grateful to @odanlab for this experience and our friend/volunteer @narteydaniel7 for his leadership and mentorship.

PRJCT US w/ @narteydaniel7 // listen via link in bio - Daniel Tetteh Nartey (b. 1991) is a Ghanaian pop-surrealist artist. Working primarily with acrylics and oils on canvas, he ingeniously disorients the human body, presenting it as a potent metaphor for societal structures and individuals. His practice sparks conversations about embracing individual uniqueness within collective unity, inviting audiences to contemplate the harmonious coexistence of diverse identities. Daniel earned his degree from the Ghanatta College of Art and Design. His works have been shown in solo and group exhibitions at Worldfaze Art Practice (Accra, Ghana), Arushie Gallery (Los Angeles, CA), Band of Voices (Los Angeles, CA), Christopher Moller Gallery (Cape Town, South Africa), Bilbrad Gallery (Miami, FL), McLennon Pen Co. Gallery (Austin, TX), Beeler Gallery (Columbus, OH), and Contemporary Art Matters Gallery (Columbus, OH). - Tracklist: - Daasebre - @___jzmin___ @divaakoto @frankymolly1 Jacquibell // @blackgirlsglow Ecstasy- @pretty_sweetrozy Dakar - @kwamebrenya_ I Love My Ghana - @tack_live 222 - @divaakoto Only You - @mickylux Control - @luchixlive Kumerican Bop - @___jzmin___ @divaakoto @frankymolly1 Jacquibell // @blackgirlsglow - 30.10.2025

We invite you to the opening exhibition of our pilot artist-in-residence Daniel Tetteh Nartey’s “Nyame Nsa” series at the AA Gallery (near the La Petite Pharmacy, Atinga Junction, Kumasi, Ghana) on Saturday 4 October, 2025. - At the heart of the “Nyame Nsa” series, a large canvas where checkerboard textiles, fallen trunks, and human limbs entwined with branches speak to the entanglement of leisure, livelihood, and loss. The forest appears not only as landscape but as a site of cultural ceremony and refuge which echoes gatherings, storytelling circles, and the sacred clearings of places, once protected by custom and reverence yet now threatened by depletion. - Curated by Douglas Opoku (@dopo.ism ) & Katharina Link(@katharinablum ) - Opening: Saturday 4 October 2025 Closing: Sunday 12 October 2025 - We look forward to seeing you!
