Dear friends,
We have decided it’s time to part ways with our beloved Riso printer.
Price is 30.000 dkk. With it you get 8 color drums. It’s a package deal - and a good one!
Colors are: yellow, fluo yellow, fluo pink, red, blue, green, black, purple.
Please contact us at [email protected]. We won’t be very active here any longer. At least for now.
Only serious requests please 💓 we will prioritize queer and trans print houses as well as likeminded print collectives, publishers and individuals but everyone is welcome to reach out.
Life is short. Keep learning and uplifting each other. Thank you to all who have printed with us and supported us the last 4 years!
Love,
Astrid & Maria

We are so so happy to be publishing and printing this work by @semine_semita
“Take Root Eat Root began in September 2018 when Nancy and I started cooking together inspired by the kitchens of Honduras and Malaysia. Over time, our kitchen turned into a universe of its own where I felt nourished in times of heartache, homesickness, and finals. Alongside a celebration of friendship and love, the book reflects on how food from Honduras and Malaysia is tied to colonial botany. Afterall, Honduras and Malaysia were nodes in the same colonial network. This book is a collection of poems and recipes that speak to the long journey of learning how to cook and learning how colonial infrastructure is mirrored in our food today.” - Semine
We are celebrating the book this Saturday @fooferments from 16-18:00

Welcome to the Print house 🏡
We’re back! And we want you to join us.
Are you interested in Riso print, small press, art books and graphic design and looking for a place to work from? Do you want to help us shape a new kind of print house and community? Then keep reading!
With our recent move (rip oldermandsvej) We’re happy to announce that we working towards a more collective future, which among other things means that we’re now offering office spots either full time (2850 kr. ex vat) or part time (1575 kr. ex vat).
By becoming part of our community print house you’ll have a work desk available that’s either yours (full time) or shared with other people (part time). You’ll have access to a Riso printer with 8 different color drums available (max A3). We are also working towards getting a screen printing station.
You’ll have to be okay with working from the same room as the print action so there will be a bit of noise and people working around you - though in the other end of the room.
There’s access to a small kitchen and good coffee. You will have access 24/7, be part of a professional and creative network, and get discount on workshops on printing.
You’ll also be joining the larger creative community upstairs composed of sweet people and get access to meeting rooms + common lunch and breakfasts.
The print house is located in an old pudding factory where Nordre Fasanvej and Borups allé meet in a quiet backyard. Next to us is studio spaces where 5 artist do ceramics and paints and above us is office spaces with other creatives.
House manifesto:
Our manifesto is always being written and up for discussion and reflection. Obra print house is a community that does not tolerate any transphobia, queerphobia, racism, ableism, sexism. We welcome and prioritize folks who we want to see take up more space in the (print) world. We’re not militant, we just want a diverse and thriving community of people who respect each other despite of or maybe because of our differences 🩵
If you are interested in joining us then please send us an email with some info about yourself :)
Dear friends,
BIG NEWS 🗞️
WE ARE MOVING. This might come as a bit of a shocker but it’s important to say that It’s not with heavy hearts but with excitement that we’ve chosen to end our lease on Oldermandsvej 29.
The approaching of a new year always brings moments to sit with oneself and set intentions for the future.
We’ve been finding ourselves returning to Obra - as an invitation, an opening, an alternative, a creative community. A place where exchange is a currency in itself. The reality is also this, it’s just too hard being a micro business these days if you refuse to make compromises. Maybe there is no big money in small print - maybe that’s okay.
We’ve decided to move from our current location to make space for a return to the original intention. Oldermandsvej has allowed us to grow and meet so many kindred spirits wanting to become part of what we do. To move forward and let more people be part of Obra we need more space to create a shared office space with access to multiple desks, access to Riso printing and hopefully soon the expansion of screen printing! We don’t dream of Obra being a big business but a collectively owned and operated space.
So in short, this basically means we’re re-structuring things a bit, aiming to make Obra collectively owned and operated by likeminded people. More on this soon.
We’ve loved being a part of this neighborhood and what we’ll miss the most is all of you that have made the space what it is 🩷 thank you for your support this far!!
Please put it out there, that we are looking for a new location that’s suitable for shared office spaces, Riso printing and the extension of screen printing.
We’d love to stay in NV but we’re open to becoming part of a new neighborhood.
For now, friends, we’ll stay open for print jobs while looking for a new place but our cafe and shop will be closed with immediate effect.
We’ll be around Oldermandsvej for all of January so if you see us please come say hi - and remember this is not a goodbye❤️
Astrid and Maria
Today is the last day to come see us and stock up on prints, wine and coffee before the holidays begin💫 Wishing merry Christmas to those who celebrate🎄Thank you all for the support this year and stay tuned for some big news 🗞️
FLINTA RISO NIGHT
FLINTA is an acronym that stands for female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender.
We invite all FLINTA folks including gender-questioning and gender fluid folks ofc to a night of drawing and low-key mingling.🥴❤️
You don’t have to draw or Riso print your design to attend. We find that many queer centered events are very party oriented and not necessarily easy to enter if you’re not a social butterfly or as a non-drinker. Drawing is such a calming activity and a nice thing to come together over.
We will provide VERY basic pencils and pens + paper but please bring your own if you want to. You will have the chance to Riso print your design at the end of the night using the scanner bed (limited to 2 color prints and 10 prints per person). You’ll pay 100kr per color ink. Please note no digital designs/ no laptops 🩷
There will be a natural wine selection of predominantly female producers and non-alcoholic options as well.
You pay 65kr to attend and that includes one drink. Dm to claim a spot. Payment in advance by MobilePay.
💫Hope to see you💫
Everyone’s favorite roaster is back on the shelves🐐Brew with caution ⚠️ lots of flavors here to be extracted!
Coffee can be complicated but it doesn’t have to be. We’re always down to answer questions and provide guidance. 3 simple things can get you closer to brewing the perfect cup:
1: using appropriate water
2: grind size and consistency
3: TASTE! Try something. Go to the extremes. Experiment. Don’t like it? Change it. Too bitter? grind courser, too sour? grind finer.
No rules here, just do your thing.
Laterrrr coffee addicts🫂🩶❄️
