An inspiring day in Albany.
Thank you to Assembly Member
@tonywsimone for recognizing the American Folk Art Museum and celebrating 65 years of providing 100% free access to our exhibitions and community programming—an achievement that helped lead to our designation as the #1 Art Museum by readers of Newsweek.
Our visit was not only a celebration, but also an opportunity to advocate for the arts and to highlight the work of folk and self-taught artists, whose talents too often go unrecognized.
Alongside Museum Director
@jasontbusch , Deputy Director & Chief Curator
@emeliegevalt , Director of Communications
@Mitch Case, and Advancement & Government Relations Officer
@Ron Miller, we were grateful to the many elected officials from across the capital who took the time to learn more about our important programs serving families, seniors, and the broader public—all made possible through free admission.
