Bring out the Ceremonial Hammer.
Last week saw us reach an important milestone on our science and DT project for @channing_school . The topping out was marked by a ceremony in which Curo Construction presented head teacher Lindsey Hughes with a ceremonial hammer, presumably not because they are short of site labour.
It was wonderful to see some of the pupils who will enjoy the new facilities being given a tour. The new extension will provide dedicated science laboratories along with a new design technology department whilst retaining and upgrading the existing building.
With the roof now on, the project is accelerating towards completion.

Our new favourite “site cabin” for construction site meetings for the new classrooms at The Paragon School for Prior Park Schools in their outdoor classroom, for as long as the school is holiday and the weather holds!

The third year of no-mow May at our offices, a Grade I Listed Chapel that we also run as an events venue @rook_lane_chapel , and it’s so pleasing to see some Oxeye Daisies that have self-sown and will hopefully spread naturally over the years. Our lawn is an odd ecosystem, with half of it only supporting moss and the other half being drier with a very thin layer of topsoil. These Oxeyes are now complimenting our designed planting that is looking resplendent in the May sunshine!
