Today sees the launch of our new strategy, name and visual identity for Bespoke Menu Partners (formerly Bespoke Kitchen Foods). As one of the UK’s top food innovation and whole menu creators specialising in natural vegan and vegetarian foods - Bespoke needed a new identity that reflects their growth ambition following 15 years in the game. Supplying everything from sumptuous starters to delicious desserts to some of the biggest pubs and eateries in the country - but always with a handmade personal touch. Our new identity reflects their varied solutions and willingness to experiment and innovate with an ever-changing B, built on perfect food and cooking partnerships. Much more to come. Big up @sheridykes on the design and illustration. And @elliot.j.moss for the launch animation. As ever @jimkdavies dished up the words on a plate.

At the heart of our recent brand refresh for @dorothyhousehc is a bespoke typeface. Designed in collaboration with @jamieclarketype (and named after the street that the first DH hospice opened on) Bloomfield is a brand font with volume. Gentle and soft in lighter weights when talking about sensitive end of life stuff. Or heavy, punchy and friendly when putting the fun into fundraising. Here’s a lil animation that shows Bloomfield in all its glory. Motion by @votiongraphics and our very own @elliot.j.moss

Brand refreshes rather than wholesale rebrands can be tricky. For the @dorothyhousehc refresh we needed to keep one of their most recognisable assets - the tulip. But its back story didn’t really fit with where the organisation is now or where it’s going. The simple idea that unlocked the refresh was realising the tulip had three petals and that there’s three core Dorothy House brand pillars - We Care, We Connect, We Create. Overlapping these three pillars gave the tulip a new meaning. Sometimes the solution is staring you right in the face… Motion by @votiongraphics

New year year new work. We’re proud to share our refreshed brand identity for @dorothyhousehc – a Bath charity very close to our hearts here at Supple. Who? Dorothy House is the only adult hospice charity offering end of life and palliative care in Bath and NE Somerset. Operating across 800sq miles and caring for over 75,000 people (both out in the community, and at their dedicated hospice in Winsley) since they opened their doors on Bloomfield Road 50 years ago. We were tasked with refreshing their brand – updating their tulip emblem and creating a new visual language that reflects their status as one of the most innovative and forward thinking palliative care organisations in the UK. What? Our solution is a simplified modern interpretation of the tulip – built around three overlapping petals designed to represent the three pillars of the charity – We Care, We Connect, We Create. Inspired by the new petal shapes, we worked with type designer Jamie Clarke to create a condensed headline font that gives Dorothy House the tonal flex to move from talking about end of life care to fun fundraising initiatives with ease. Typeface by @jamieclarketype Motion by @votiongraphics Sonic ident by @finders_keepers_music Illustration by @by.roisin Copy by us and @jimkdavies Massive thanks to James and Rhi at DH who have been a dream to work with from start to finish.
