Bring back #baldgate25 !!!! I’m not amazing at doing wrap up posts or even taking photos during events because I get so caught up in being in there but thankfully all the homies have my back!!! The weekend was such an insane blast of fun and breath of fresh air. As I am want to do I crunched down to the last second like a silly little bugger and I was so nervous going into the event because I haven’t done such a scanty cosplay in a longggg time. But apparently I killed it and my confidence is higher than ever (despite those like wicked @chattyanny and @eufiemoon trying to bring me back to earth) @chattyanny you poured you whole soul and heart into this and you made it such a delight to be a part of. Before the true chaos of competing starts, we've had a super fun day all getting to dress up from Severance and explore the convention, as well as take part in a couple of presentations. It’s been a few days (sorry life never lets a woman breath even if she’s just come off the back of an incredible con weekend) but wow. @dreamhack . Wow. I had a much bigger post but for once it actually went over instagram limits. So instead you can all have the thank yous. Thank you to everyone who started that spark of competition in me and fed it kindling from their own stories of comp. Thank you for helping me see that there was joy and fun even if you did decide to spend a full day backstage rather than roaming the convention floor. And thank you to everyone who’s helped me these last few weeks- @raikiricosplay for letting me bother them with leather questions. @opal.ink.cosplay for not even batting a lash when you moved right in to the tornado of sewing chaos I turned the house into. To @noodleboy.cosplay who put up with me as my handler on Sunday. And to everyone who liked and commented on my wip stories and kept giving me the fuel to keep going. Thank you to the cosplay team- @tenkoucosplay @misses.lucifer @ylvavz I know you had so many pieces to juggle even before the con actually kicked off. I can only applaud you for it and thank you again for making the backstage space a place I want to return to next year. Congratulations to my other Novices especially @azurebayy and @twinklecircuit - I was so happy to be up there on the podium with you. And of course to our judges @trine.k.n @kizuki.go and @blinkscoscave who had an incredibly hard job and a very very long day. Thank you for all that work and I hope to be able to be judged by you again. And finally the biggest thank you goes to @chattyanny . My sister from another life that I was lucky enough to find again in this life. You’ve never let me backdown- you straight up snatched the phone off me when I was umming and ahhing over entering this comp. You never let me stop and stumble and you believe in me even when I doubted. You may have teared up on stage but I’m crying now, (ON THE WAY TO WORK!!!) So filled with all the love I hold for you and the joy it is to have you in my life. I don’t forgive you for taking that beastly photo of me trying to carefully eat a burger though.
