Specifically, it is programmed on the 18th during the “Saturday Morning Cartoons” block 🤩 My film is in great company, even screening alongside filmmakers I use as examples in my Experimental Animation class 🤯

Meg Cook (USA) • will be screening as part of our evening of international artist film MICROACTS: IN A CURIOUS PLACE, Friday 12th December, 2025, 7pm @vfdalston • @nutmegcook • Film: ‘Patch’
I’m a multidisciplinary artist and stop motion filmmaker. Through the interplay of tactile media and animation, I explore themes of identity, gender roles, and transformation, as well as investigates the hierarchy of art, craft, and entertainment. Ultimately, my work seeks to celebrate the shared language of craft and animation: the ability to tell stories that are simultaneously tactile, visual, and deeply human.
I have exhibited and screened my work in galleries and film festivals across the globe. My collaborative project with Texas A&M Soft Interaction Lab has exhibited internationally and been featured in multiple publications.
I received my MFA in Visualization from Texas A&M University in 2019. In 2015, I received a BFA in Animation with a minor in Storyboarding from the Savannah College of Art and Design. During my time at SCAD, I was the General Manager of SCAD Radio. I went by DJ Nutmeg and had a weekly show called "John Cusack's Power Hour" that featured movie soundtracks and scores - something I am still passionate about! Currently, I am an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University.
