In 2011 he received his BFA from UW-Milwaukee’s Department of Film. Specializing in documentaries, Sam seeks to capture genuine moments of beauty, intimacy, and conflict. When given ample time for discovery, he finds that the ordinary becomes quite extraordinary. Sam’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. His award-winning short film “3 Miles East” was included in the 64th Cannes Film Festival Court Metrage.

She recently completed her studies at the Film & TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (better known as FAMU), where she received her Master’s in Montage in November 2024. She received her Bachelor’s in both English Literature & Psychology (along with a certificate in Film & Media Studies) at Georgetown University in 2020.

The experiment of the creative process using all kinds of materials makes her thrive. Mostly using elements from her personal life; a photo, a voice of a friend, etc. Also she runs a community art project where she creates stopmotion animation together with elderlies suffering dementia. The joy of finding eachother beyond words and the rational, makes her truly happy.

Jacques Sorrentini Zibjan (France) • will be screening as part of our evening of international artist film MICROACTS: The Dream Portal, Thursday 21st May, 2026, 7pm @the.bath.house.hw & Thursday 18th June 2026, 7pm @newstreetmarketwoodbridge@jacques.sorrentini.zibjan • Film: ‘I hold you (Je te tiens)’ Jacques Sorrentini Zibjan is an artist, filmmaker and musician. He studied engineering at the École Centrale de Marseille, then obtained a PhD in Physics at the Institut Fresnel (CNRS, french national research center), during which he began to practice photography and sound creation. To deepen these practices, he then attended the Arles School of Photography and the Lussas School of Documentary Cinema. Today, his work takes the form of installations, sound pieces and films, which have been shown in exhibitions and festivals in France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, the UK, India, Brasil, Canada, Colombia, Uruguay, the USA and Venezuela. In 2025 he is a guest artist on the écumes cooperation program run by the international research platform dos mares.

Erica Schreiner (USA) • will be screening as part of our evening of international artist film MICROACTS: The Dream Portal, Thursday 21st May, 2026, 7pm @the.bath.house.hw & Thursday 18th June 2026, 7pm @newstreetmarketwoodbridge@erica.schreiner • Film: ‘The Escape’ Erica Schreiner is a New York–based experimental video and performance artist who has worked with VHS for over twenty years. Performing before the camera, Erica creates allegorical, ethereal works that merge femininity, anarchistic themes, ritual and sensuality. Using symbolic materials and immersive sets, she creates surreal, intimate environments with a distinct personal style. Erica received a BS in Graphic Design from The Art Institute of Portland and was awarded a full scholarship to The School of Visual Arts Lens and Screen Arts Residency Program. She studied performance art under the direction of Marina Abramović at MoMA PS1. She has completed more than 100 video works, including two feature films and several music videos. Her second feature, The Special People, supported by a New York City Artist Corps Grant, won Best Experimental Feature Film at Dream Machine Film Festival in Los Angeles. Erica’s films have exhibited internationally in Museums, galleries and film festivals, including The Museum of Modern Art, MoMA PS1, Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin, Bill Hodges Gallery in New York, Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio, and Performance Space New York. In 2025, Whammy! in Los Angeles and The New York Film-Makers’ Cooperative presented a retrospective of her films. Erica serves in the curatorial committee at Millennium Film Workshop (est. 1967) and she is on the board of advisors at the New York Film-makers’ Cooperative (est. 1961). In 2025, Erica’s film Love is Power was acquired by The Museum of Modern Art.

Emily Sasmor (USA) • will be screening as part of our evening of international artist film MICROACTS: The Dream Portal, Thursday 21st May, 2026, 7pm @the.bath.house.hw & Thursday 18th June 2026, 7pm @newstreetmarketwoodbridge@emilysasmor • Film: ‘FLORE’ Emily Sasmor is a new media artist based in Brooklyn, NY. They create “operatic” visual albums, through videos, animations, and video games, that explore the aftermath of violence — from domestic abuse to political terror. Their projects have appeared in shows, festivals, and screenings including; Curyatid in Hudson Yards (New York, NY), 20/92 Video Festival (Philadelphia, PA), Squeaky Wheel Animation Festival (Syracuse, NY), and Digerati Emergent Media Festival (Denver, CO). Recent awards include a Cultural Counsel Video Grant, and first place in Digerati Emergent Media Festival’s Digital Dialect section. They are setting up an experimental art publishing house, named NIGHT EYE TV and received a residency from the School of Poetic Computation. She received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a BFA from Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University
